I think Ty Vickery might be looking for a character reference!!

From thewest:

thewest.com.au/sport/afl/afl-player-and-...matter-ng-b88528300z

Apparently Ty Vickery and Jake King are the two involved.

Some wag has already tweeted "Not sure why it has taken 9 years for Ty Vickery to get done for extortion - he has been extorting Richmond and Hawthorn since 2009."

Ty Vickery may now be able to apply the knowledge he gained whilst studying a law degree at Victoria University.

LS, the AFL have to wait until the League the guy played in to hand down some penalty, then they will act on it.There is no doubt they will give him his marching orders come Thursday.I think their tribunal sits Wednesday night.
Nothing sinister in them waiting.

Welll he has done it before AND he has pleaded guilty already AND it is all there in video to see. That alone means he should have been sacked immediately irrespective of the tribunal decision tonight. Its a disgrace the AFL have remained silent...WHY???

Poor Ali, only got life. The tribunal must have read out his previous suspension(s).
He has stood down from his AFL job.. Maybe Turnbull didn't give a character referencs.

Yep he is guilty, but due process must be done.

Errr NO. 2 separate cases, one he hit a bloke and fronts the tribunal. Thats a footy case.

2 His employer the AFL has him as an ambassador for the sport, he has done an action ( on film) that brings his position into an untennable position.

The outcome from the tribunal is purely a PLAYING FOOTBALL decision. If by some freak decision he was found NOT guilty ( even tho he admitted he was), he still should have been sacked, for his action

The AFL still haven't come out & condemned Ali's cowardly punch which he pleaded guilty of. Now the police have charged him with assault.. Gil still twiddles his thumbs.. Typical of most managements.. WEAK

Got what he deserved. Absolute thug, he must have grown up in street gangs or he's been boxing for a while. After he ko'd the first one he took off looking for the next one to deck. Question is why don't AFL footballers ever end up on assault charges? Do they sign a waver that they accept the risks on the football field and a punch on the football field is not the same as a punch outside the football field?
