The Buzz Peter Bosustow is on Open Mike tonight. It looks like it was recorded at Lathlain Park.
They are sitting out on the oval.
I'm sure there will be plenty of discussion about Buzz's WAFL career, maybe a whole 20 seconds.

Showed Buzz's goal from the 1978 GF vs EP plus a mark for WA vs VIC the rest all Carlton highlights and of course Mike was astonished he left Carlton in 1984 to come back to Perth.

Perth FC probably got as much mention as Carlton. Incredible to think Perth were so strong back then financially we could afford to knock back a transfer fee of $20,000 in 1984 from Carlton for the Buzz to return mid year. when we were going shite on the field already. It was probably a bad decision by the club, I seem to recall Bosustow not long after that, probably when Mal Brown took over Buzz had a bad ankle injury and got way out of condition and was never the same.

Good on him though for turning his back on the big bucks and limelight at Carlton to come home to look after his sick Dad. Was awesome watching him on the Winners on a Sunday night and what a player he was for the Demons. Miraculous player who could truly win a game off his own boot. Like a champion racehorse he was just too good for them. That 1978 grand final performance in those conditions probably stands out as one of the most remarkable efforts in Grand final history. Only players with remarkable skill could do what the Buzz did that day. Sadly it was not quite enough.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

anchorman wrote: He spoke of a few games at Perth. One game against Souths where he kicked a bag.Mentioned the good players from Souths like Rioli,Michael and a few others. He gave a fair bit on the WAFL really in half an hour.He discussed the trouble he had with Perth FC .Having to stand out of footy for 12 months because Perth would not release him. Also the fact that Perth stopped him going back to Carlton.
If you are going to have a crack, give a fair view on what it was about. Those with out Fox will think you guys are telling the truth.

The discussions concerning any actual WAFL playing days were initiated by Buzz, not Mike Sheahan.

Was great to watch the Buzz talk, if anyone knows him well they will understand, anything that allows the Buzz to talk about himself for half hour will be enjoyable, oh and it will remind us how good he was. The bloke was awesome.

In regards to the WAFL, guys remember the show is called 'Tell me about your WAFL career",

This program is run by a Victorian reporter and has been on Victorian TV's for years.

Don't be to upset that Mike didn't talk about the WAFL, when he has done other players like Platten and Kernahan from SA he didn't talk about their exploits in SA footy, it was all about what they achieved when they came to Victoria.

If you want to watch a show about WAFL stuff then this isn't the show for you

That's all the people that watch Victorian TV want to watch

Yup they will always want to accommadate 80% plus of the market ( victoria) rather than a small market in WA, thats the reality of business folks

I must say, given the game it was in, the weather conditions at the time, the position he was in on the field when he kicked it, the pressure he was under from EP players, the fact that the PFC needed a goal, taking all those things together, I have always regarded that goal as the best I have ever seen.

He also spoke highlly of Ken Armstrong. You can't expect the Victorians to konw anything about the WAFL unless they had played in the competition. We only knew something about the VFL because of the bloody tv show 'the winners'.
