First time I heard the cork in the ocean comment was the 92 GF when Wilso crashed a pack hit the ground bounced up and snapped a sausage over his shoulder.

I mentioned this once before. I wonder if The Den pinched this off Spud Slater. It was in one of those games back in the early 80's when we had those epics against the Vics. One of our players kicked the ball out of defence (or is it deeeefence now?) and it fell over the line in perfect timing. Spud called it
"inch perfect".
