Not this time dude. Simon Creans statement that started it all this morning, was at best a huge gamble. It did not pay off. It was not a very convincing case. Creans desperate tactic had not delivered the numbers to Rudd which is why no-one stood against the pm. And Labor is still in a mess.

What a shambles - Kev only want's to come back when everyones on his side.

Will it ever happen - Probably not yet but may in the future ???

The silly thing is most ALP people and Libs know that he is a better chance to win but the poor old ALP told everyone how shit he was and that's why they had to dump him.

If they didn't throw shit at him before they sacked him they would have him back in a heartbeat but as they've done that much back peddling on policy they fear that this would be the last straw.

The ALP is that stuffed it looks like evryone will elect a party that isn't too much better but with a leader on the nose ?

The Libs will shit it in and the ALP can only blame themselves for not being united the whole time they've been in government and sucking up to the greens too much. Shorten to be the leader of the ALP in opposition - Odds on

Stupid is what stupid does ALP !!!

The Libs win and within 1 year MT will take the gig over and be the best PM Australia could get from the mob of clowns on both sides of the fence

Now what happens. Even the indeoendants voted a no confiodence motion in Juliarrrrrrr. How anyone can possible question Abbot when we have this pig headed arrogant women, who has a 30% vote, in poll after poll, yet still thinks she can and will win is delusional. An govt labor or lib would have got through the GRC, becuase we had a pretty good banking system, and minerals in the ground, thats the start and end of it.

Dont be fooled Abbott is about as popular within the liberal party as Gillard or Rudd is within Labor..i ask you how would Abbott have handled a hung parliment? I doubt as well as Gillard has in an unprecedented situation

Well i hear Juliaaar IS popular with her caucus alas NOT the elctorate. With Rudd is the exact opposite. Gillard has been dumped by the Greens, and now it appears the same with at least one(Windsor) independant...so much for jhandling it well!. Putting aside me personal loathing of the woman...i would think even the most balanced observer (including some from withing), would question her decision making judgements...SERIOULSY trying to rush an important serious bill through in a week?, thats of course one of many. I mean doing the rooty hill RSL thing and not daring to ne seen amongst REAL blue collar workers...the very ONES she needs on her side!!

Unka2 The independents did not vote against Gillard in a No confidence motion. That was a LIE by Tony Abbott. It was a procedural vote to allow a debate; UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES was it a vote against her in a no confidence motion. For someone of Abbott's experience to make the mistake shows that he is either: totally incompetent or an unmitigated LIAR.

As for the cries of indignation from Stokes, News Limited etc the best comedy act of the year. The proposal was going to mirrow what is the situation with respect to free to air TV.

How many remember a few years' back of the West's photo of an empty Mandurah train carriage as proof that the Mandurah line was a white elephant?

To represent themselves as the paragons of society is as hilarious and patently untrue as Fox News mantra of 'fair and balanced'.

Kevin Rudd is NEVER EVER going to be the leader of the ALP. It is disingenuous of the media to suggest otherwise.

Don't tell me 42 you still support this rabble? Even the most rusted on tree hugging, refugee loving, wipe your bum on a gumleaf Labor supporter must have had enough by now....even you 42 must be able to see through you one socialist eye that this mob is so immersed in its own survival that its turned governing into a joke... Gillard would eat her own young if it meant parking her immense arse in a soft chair at the Lodge on an ongoing basis. Being PM means more to her than the survival of many of her colleagues at the next election as she well knows Labor will be trounced if she stays PM.

TF ...this government is a gift that keeps on giving...every day there is another disaster...i'm just mystified how 30% of the voting public according to the polls continue to support this mob. even if as a voter you hated tony abbott you couldn't possibly think he'd be any worse than these stooges...they're clowns looking for a circus and I think they found one in the Labor caucus room.
