Thinking about heading out to Whiteman Park in Caversham for the first time tomorrow. Any Ozfooty crew been there in recent times? Is it worth a visit?

Bloody flies were bad there in late Winter.Shocking up at Landsdale Farm(to be expected with animals there),a few weeks back.

Good point Grassy, chicken shit in the nurseries thru Sept up Landsdale way doesn't exactly help keep the flies population at bay. Will buy some Aeroguard today, thanks for the reminder

DW if you want a undercover seated area for a barbeque or picknik you have to book in advance.Was there about 1 month ago on a Sunday arvo.The bbqs are a $1 coin slot for about 15 minutes.So if you want a barbe take $1 coins.You can take an umbrella and folder chairs and find a shady tree.
If you like cars there's a great museum there.The steam train a good way to get around there Thomas Trains.Its quiet big with 6 differnt car parks and park areas.Well worth a look.

There is also Caversham Wildlife Park on the other side of the main road.

Entry price a bit steep($15 - 20),but that was a year or so ago.Give 'em a buzz and see where things are at now.

There's a Canteen there with food and drinks and an undercover area to sit down and have a munch and cuppa,before having a nice long wonder around,especially the native area,with a few shows out on,mainly during the school holidays.

Escalated to $28 adult entry mate now but havin a lovely relaxing day so no complaints

Remember running there from Bassendean Oval pre season in the 1960s.

Certainly changed a bit since then.
