Just about had enough!!! Whinge, Whinge!! The two AFL clubs, especially Nisbett and WCE , continually seem to cry about getting a shitty deal. Pumping their own tyres up always about contributing to the WAFL and how much.... 10 MIL apparently in 2012. How awesome they are in contributing to WA football. BULL$HIT! Just had a quick look at WAFL attendances in 1986 ( the year prior to WCE )732,238 fans!!!!! From memory about $7 entry? = $5,125,666 gate takings alone. Could have bought a good house back then for 60K wages average about 25K. They should be putting back in at least DOUBLE, if not TRIPPLE what they are!!! I sure I have read somewhere that the WAFC pay maybe 200k to each of the nine clubs per year = 1.8 MIL. So where does the other 8.3MIL go?? Now don't say to community football and umpires etc because that is just another feel good excuse used by people to justify what they do. If clubs kept gate takings alone in 1986 ( not sure if they did though )they would have received on average each $640,708.25.

Sounds like a fair call SEEING THE WAFL made them what they are and the WAFL because it was so good got them into the AFL

If you are so sick of the whinging of REAL FOOTBALL SUPPORTERS on ozfooty then i suggest you maybe head over to your beloved dockerland website with all of those other very "knowledgeable" fans!!
FFS you do realise the WAFC OWN the 2 AFL clubs here? ..anyways all those 2 would do with the extra $$$ is waste it on more overseas junkets to "visit" EPL & NFL clubs!!

Maybe all this knowledge is holding you back. The only clubs making any money are AFL, ammo's, country & juniors!

We would not even be having this conversation if those two AH clubs had mind their own business and worried about the AFL and left the bloody WAFL alone. Why you keep insinuating that they are some how the saviours of the state competition is laughable seeing they have potentially fkd the whole system with this alignment crap!
You are typical of the attitudes that these two clubs present. We dont want their money we just want to left alone! So go and start your own reserves sides and take your 200 grand and shove it where the burley dont shine.
As other posters have highlighted to you it was the WAFL that got these clubs to where they are not the other way round.

Why are you even commenting on this topic as you have even admitted you have not read up on the subject, which is totally obvious with your conclusion it was all about the $$$$ ..if you had any interest in a WAFL club you would have asked the question to them by now & found out that is far from the case & the clubs are still livid on this being thrust upon our comp but unfortunately the lilly livered WAFC are not going to stand up to the 2 nazis now are they?? ...now off you go back to dockerland.com to read & believe more fremantle propoganda from your fellow loonies over there!!

True the WAFL was in trouble in the mid eighties , but lets not forget the the eagles sent the who thing broke when Indian pacific went under, and the WA tax payer bailed out the whole WA footy scene, contrary to popular belief the WAFL clubs do not own the WCE or Dockers, the WA government do, hey are owned by.Goverment owned Commision, the Eagles have several million in the bank, not really sure why, I would of thought all that was community own funds.

A/man I have been one of the most strident supporters of the Freo Dockers in its battle with the devil incarnate known as West Coast Eagles. Unfortunately, they have sold their collective souls to the devil; have shown a complete contempt for the WAFL competition and as a consequence, hopefully, they will win only two matches this year and it doesn't require much brain powere to work out which two matches.
