Oh dear! Why name me? I didn't refer to anyone in particular! Personally I'm not a hater as I prefer informed debate. Nevertheless it saddens me that we use this site for our political agendas. Are prospective buyers of this site put off by this?? I hope not but one never knows.

I coulndt give a toss about the bloody city of perth act, all i want is less government , not more. as far as im concerned, towns of cottesloe, mosman park, nedlands, pepermint grove and claremont should all be the the dustbin!

i was hoping we could get some progress in my local govt area , one among those above, sadly the nimby spirit blocked it.

Don't believe all you read in the papers, I've dealt with them on several occasions and what they do is equalize the process by taking the decision out of the hands of minority special interest groups who would stop anything they deem as inappropriate, these are groups who have never been voted into any position of responsibility and are generally lay people with no expertise or training in Town planning or architecture. The DAP is made up of members who are highly experienced experts in these areas and look just at the local authorities town planning schemes and policies along side the state planning commissions rules & regulations. This prevents the "I don't want any development" lobby's from hi-jacking Councils and pressuring councilors who in most cases are not qualified in these areas and like all levels of politics are only interested in re-election.
