Possibly S Marsh had a valid passport and was able to get to NZ. Apperently, also he was dismissed 10 times in the match for not many runs.

Gilly ruined Wicket keeping for all future generations, Boucher and Sangakarra helped as well.

You traditionally always picked a bloke that could Keep well. If he could bat that was a bonus.

Gilly was an absolute gun with the bat and now if you cant bat, doesn't matter how good a keeper you are, you don't play.

Eg Bairstow, Bancroft, etc

De Villiers is the exception there is nothing he cant do

So Gilly ruined it for everyone, while everyone knows he was a great player his influence actually goes on further than just his results. He has now influenced selections of every nation at every level.
