Freeze: normally I would agree with you on Bailey; but this season has made runs in the Shield and deserves his place.

Is anyone else a bit perplexed at the way Joel Paris has been treated in this series? He was picked for the first 2 games in which I thought he acquitted himself OK, then rested for the third game which was fair enough given his injury history. Then he was dropped from the squad for the 4th and 5th games whilst Hastings was left in there, even though he was only picked originally as a one game replacement for Mitch Marsh. If you take a punt on a young guy, surely you would give him a more extended run in a team particularly in a series that means SFA in the scheme of things.

Anyway good news for the Scorchers that he can play in the semi on Friday.

I thought that Paris bowled very well in the second game he played, as did a lot of the commentators.I thought he bowled better than Bolland in both games, yet Bolland gets a berth!!!!

Not Fridays game, because he is still in the squad. Even if he doesn't play he would have to be there in case a batsman was injured in the warm up or sick on the day.
If the Scorchers made the final on the Sunday ( probably in Adelaide), would Mitch and Sean be able to play though? Interesting point.
