Just finished off a large slice of humble pie.

Happy to admit when i am WRONG.

Nic Nat has made it in my eyes. Didnt think he would get it all together, but he has.

Well done to the lad

I am still astounded there are some who dont rate Nico (Carnwest, Anchorman et al)!
Having seen him play at Swans from a 16yo in the Colts I have never seen an athlete like him play our great sport. He can do things on the field most others cant but too many "modern day footy followers" just look at the basic stats page for their "thoroughly knowledgeable" opinions!!

Nic Nat & Walters were certainly standouts from that era freeze tho the likes of Rance, Yarran, L.Jetta, N.Jetta, Garlett, Coniglio, Pearce et al were outstanding as well.
Interestingly Notte & Blight were 2 others who were incredible back then but unfortunately their bodies were not able to adapt to the stress of the full time Vic League!

actually a genuine question from me BH....cheers for that....Rance is a class act that's for sure, Yarren has disappointed me the most.....touch wood he finds another club to show case his skills.....yeah pity Notte and Blight couldn't show theirs...but good SD and the WAFL that they still can eh?

Freeze Yaz along with Sonny & Tony were probably the most naturally gifted footballers I have seen come through our ranks in my time. What Yaz was doing as a 15/16yo skill wise I still shake my head with disbelief he has more ability than most in that comp and he has shown it at times I remember a final I think? at Subi vs the Wiggles a few years back he kicked 3 or 4 from a back flank by just slicing and dicing through the Wiggles midfield & defence, but maybe he needs to make a move to another more professional club ( like SD ;) ) to get that out of him more consistently! :)

Have a read through some of the posts re Nic Nat and eat humble pie.

Not sure why I would be eating humble pie as a long time Nic fan since his days at Swans Colts ...but the senile old football nuffy that started a thread on Zac Clarke being a better player than NN last year may need a slice or 10 tho   ..hopefully BRUMBYS home deliver to retirement villages around Cockburn these days hey champ!! :cheer: :P

thing is BH, if SD were able to get the best out of Yarren, it won't be due to the SDFC, but more so due to the fact the fella is playing at a level a few tiers below the level he appears to be struggling for consistency at present....touch wood the fella doesn't realise too late he has a good thing going.....to me he needs to have a chat to Walters, that boy has definitely turned his whole life/career around and reaping the rewards big time....still time for Yarren but he won't be the first or last player to not fulfill ones potential.

Amazing what a full uninterrupted pre-season can do. The2014/15 pre-season was Nic's first full one and it shows. he has struggled at times in the past and has been seen as a player with unbounded potential, we have seen a fair bit of that this year and if he stays fit it's quite frightening what he will be able to do as he continues to improve his footy nouse under Coxy's watchfull eye.

And the thing is he will still get better as he is only 24..To play the way he has the past few weeks whilst dealing with the death of his mum also shows the steal he is made of. He will finish a genuine great of the game
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!
