What rubbish! It would be a disgrace for a start with other clubs enjoying alignments and endless cash agreements through Subi oval deals etc. If the unlikely did happen to be true I would be more than happy to part with cash in a tin rattle to keep one of the most historical and statistically most successful clubs I Australia afloat
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

+1 mate I would throw in my hard earned to keep Old Easts ticking along ...on another note if I could turn back time I would take back every cent of my pocket money I gave to keeping WART & $ubi afloat in the 80's with the way they have turned our beloved WAFL comp into nothing but a farce at present time!

Sounds like a load of crap to me - like the proverbial old woman's tale. However, good to see people already pledging support. If it was to happen, then my disappointment would drive me away from the WAFL...forever.

With freeze earning a truck load over in the Shaky Isles maybe he could make an offer to buy out the club ala Edelsten & Skase at Sydney & Brisbane respectively back in the 80's!
I'm sure being a humble chap a new club name to become East Freezmantle would be his only minor change!

No Anchorman. I would not listen to the individual that told you the story. For East Fremantle to fold, the club would need to be in dire financial strife. They are nowhere near that as far as I know. And when the Sharks eventually leave East Fremantle Oval, the ground sharing deal would have been finalised long beforehand.

It would have helped us somewhat more at Basso if you had actually paid us in Australian currency instead of that worthless NZ stuff freeze!! ;)

Freeze isnt your young fella a self confessed Swannies fan? You have given him the wrong Black & White jersey mate he doesnt want that second best NZ stuff he wants the real mccoy straight from Basso! :P
