I used to love playing pinball.
There was a place on Barrack Street upstairs and downstairs where they had lots of machines. I think downstairs (street level) was mainly miniature car racing.

Here is a an old (1976) mechanical Williams Blue Chip from the era just before pinball went solid state electronic. Old fashioned I know but was still good fun to play and there were quite a few in WA at the time. This American player in the video collects all the numbers with ease and fires up the Special when lit in the hole a few times. Damn good player.

I am trying to think of the main pinball place that was in town in the 70's/80's. They had the Purple Pumpanickel and Strombeckers but can't think of the other one ...

Blimey, Orbitor 1 was a crazy game.

There was a place called Kelly's just up the road from where The Moon and Sixpence now stands.

Also there was a place up Hay Street opposite the Town Hall which used to have some good machines.

As I was reading this topic Kelly's sprung to mind from my youth oh so long ago when up from the country on holidays. A few years later after moving to Perth I went to check out Kelly's but it had closed, and was a Lingerie shop. Big change of trade and clients
