With the recent closure of Centre Ford, once a major sponsor of East Perth it made me think of all the other old car yards gone but not forgotten as they have been swallowed up by the conglomerates or gone bust. Naughty Dons, Backshall Ford etc. Anyone think of others?? Or the ones that sponsored WAFL clubs, like Houghtons-Perth, Magic Nissan-EF etc
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

Good topic mate ...I can always remember the catchy adverts from Naughty Don Rogers Toyota as a kid and Backshall Ford (Phil Backshall- he's a part of the town).
Other car yards that are no longer around were Trevor Hancock (he's a softy), Hans Merks, Independent Motors, Winterbottoms, Paceway off the top of my head.
Big Rock Toyota (are cheaper) and Nick the Devilish Dealer from Phoenix Holden are still going strong whilst Magic Toyota become Nissan and thankfully got rid of those bloody adverts with the Eagles players on them!! :P

I remember Dave Warner singing about Hans Merks wherein the Killer Koala did away with Hans while he was showering, Jenny Clemesha also suffered at the hands of the Killer Koala as well

Yes I remember something about that. Classic Warner stories, usually during "Half Time at the Football" or "Mugs Game.

Haha yeh Trevor Hancock hes a softy, remember that, i think he always had attractive ladies around him in the adds, cant stand that Magic Nissan ad either, Langdons voice shits me. The naughty Don ads made me laugh too " Im going mad with money! " haha
