The total failure of our weak and guttless boards to try and keep THE `WAFL` viable
can only go one way, the total destruction of the wafl as we know it, all of the
other seven wafl clubs should show some `BALLS` and refuse to play either Peel or
east perth
in any game during the coming season, if they all have the guts to do this who
will the two AFL clubs play every week? what can the wafc/wafl do about it?
threaten to take our licenses of us certainly `BUT` if all or most of the clubs
threaten them, who will they play against? what we need to happen is for members(supporters) to call special general meetings and force our clubs into action, you
only need to get members from the other
seven clubs to start the ball rolling, check your constitution rules about how
many signature are need to call such meetings and all relevant rules and lets get
it moving, I think swans and perth have big supporter bases and a lot of posters
on here, so lets get something I would be happy to start the ball rolling at
Subiaco once some of you serious clubs kick it off,I picked swans & perth as they
seem
to have most of the talkers on here, anyone of you can P/M me if you want to
talk more about it. I cant see it happening in 2014, but we could work on 2015.

here, so come on people lets get something moving, I think the past player groups
of the seven wafl clubs would get behind it, so if your involved in any way with
the Cpp&oa talk to them.

Look Im with ya on this, but the horse has bolted, probably have to wait 5 years to make a new deal and by then it will be so entrenched that there will be no going back..Unless a Twiggy Forest type come in, bankroll everything and allows the G7 to break away and play amongst themselves, but that is a pipedream
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

swandog, see where your coming from, but if the club members of 3/4 wafl clubs forced
special general meetings during the 2014 season and moved a motion, that was passed
(something along the lines of (your club)will refuse to play against east perth/peel
after 2014 whilst they are connected to afl clubs) and that motion was passed by 75%
of the members present, there would be stuff all that your/mine wafl or the afl clubs
do about it! it would take a lot of hard work and possibly get defeated, but would it
worth a go?

P.O. Why not use those games against EP and Peel as a training run for the G7 clubs and not even put your best team forward?
Then again the clubs would probably get fined!!

Yes I support a boycott by the real 7

I also mention here that I will be keeping close tabs on how the SANFL model functions this year also .... a very close tab!
Want to see what the Port Adelaide one is , haven't seen much on them - is it the existing Port Adelaide Magpies does anyone know ?????

Firmly & unflinchingly believe there is no place for AFL sides in the WAFL under any guise - the WAFL must continue on into the future ... without that I have nuthin'

All over red rover. As SD said you will have to wait another five years before you MAY be able to take those measures.

A/man when you have a metaphorical gun pointed at your head, you are hardly in a position to be able to negotiate on an even footing. It is quite simply ridiculous of you to suggest that somehow or other that the G7 clubs should not take the very poor compensation offered. How about, FOR ONCE, you put yourself in the position of us loyal WAFL club supporters who want our competition and clubs to remain something other than a training vehicle for the devils incarnate in the Eagles and Dockers.

Agree 100% BUT - you pnly have to look at the disaterous financial state of South to see why they rolled over so easy.,,,it was a case of the beggers bowl...Raitt knew he had no ammo to fire so rolled over.

Most of the clubs are not going concerns any longer financially, except subi..

the comp is a dead duck,

Bazza I agree that we had very little to negotiate with; our only hope was to remain solidly as a group of nine clubs in opposition to the devils incarnate. When two deserted we were left with little. What I don't understand is the mentality and attitude of people like a/man. He seems to have nothing but, at best, total disinterest in the WAFL and its clubs, or at worst, complete and utter contempt for the WAFl and its clubs.
