He's a good bowler but a shit bloke!

know him personally then do ya?. He boarded with my mates family whilst playing in Vic, apparently a rippa bloke, and when last in Melb, went back to the club and coached the kids there, and volunteered and did the scoring for the club.

He could have worn a Santa Claus costume there for all I care ..he is still a shit bloke!

As i said, ya know him do ya?? Or gathered yer info via the media etc?

Its good to see some good agressive fast bowling, some ordinary shots from Bell and Prior to the spinner though, Prior should be shot, him not walking was as bat as Broad, he didnt hit it once he hit it twice and would have known........

Good to see Johnson getting a wicket off a no ball

I was amazed at how quickly it all happened. At 2 for 82, England seemed to be cruising along OK but then 6 for 9!!! That sort of collapse has been Australia's speciality over the past few years. I thought that Lyon started the ball rolling with 3 maidens in a row which then squeezed Englands ability to score.

Harris was his usual self (brilliant ball to get rid of Cook) with aggressive short bowling which intimidated England and what can you say about Johnson? He was all over the place like a dog's breakfast early in the day, but when he got Trott out, that seemed to give him the confidence and he was pretty lethal from then on. Like the Aussie batsman yesterday, many of the English batsmen contributed to their own demise with some pretty ordinary shots.

It was important that Warner and Rogers made a solid start to the 2nd innings and now its up to the top 6 to try and bat England out of this game tomorrow. Given Australia's frailties with the bat, there is still some hope for England but alternatively if Warner stays in till lunch time, the scoreboard may start ticking over quite rapidly.

One of the key problems with Australian test cricket in the past few years is that they haven't quite been able to finish off a team when in a good position in the match. Remember the home series against South Africa last year when Australia allowed them to wriggle out with a draw in Adelaide and then had them 6 for 75 at the WACA but again allowed them off the hook. This time they need to keep their foot on England's throats.

Yep the aggression with the ball today got the results. I was amazed at how timid some of the tail end Poms appeared against the short ball. There's a clear weakness there which the Aussies can exploit.

Someones being doing some thinking about this mob since August. Probably Boof.

You have to love the way Test cricket - real cricket - can twist and turn in the blink of eyelid. Been a great test for the first two days despite some awful shot selection.

You only have to compare it to the dribble that was the farcical ODI India v WI last night to see that the ultimate challenge is, was and always will be test cricket

Don't fully agree with you Dazzler - I like the 2 forms of hit n giggle cricket - good entertainment. I do agree that today, test cricket twists and turns and is also good entertainment. I don't know how old you are, but I can remember test cricket when you could go out and mow the lawn, go into town for a loaf of bread and bottle of milk and there'd only be 10 more runs on the board.

was great to see the Aussies take the limelight away from Broad's effort and great to shut our 2 Poms at work up. I honestly didn't think our bowlers would crucify them like they did - happy to admit I was wrong this time. Now, if only our top order can make runs, we should be heading for a win.
