cannot believe it.

I honestly cant see his body holding up until he is 35. Its barely holding up now. I suppose with an offer like that why wouldnt he take it. Job security for the next 9 years when the next best offer was 6.

For once I actually agree with Eddie.

Also, LOL at Sticks Kernahan saying all they want is a level playing field. The irony of a Carlton man saying that.

This could bite Sydney on the arse in a couple of years when there younger guys get better and start putting there hands out for more money on longer contracts,they could potentialy lose a few.
I also doubt that it was a 9 year deal,heaps of dough involved but not for 9 years!

too true mate.....Kernahan went to Carlton because they had plenty of dosh to attract him and his SA mates in Motley and Bradley from memory.....those three were the best 3 youngsters in the country at the time too......money talks and Kernahan above all others should know that better than anything....I don't remember Carlton thinking of others at the time like Footscray, St Kilda etc.....

I hope Buddy does go to Sydney, on paper their side will look strong up front, but anything can happen in footy from injuries, loss of form, wear and tear etc....9 years is a life time in sport for some....Fletcher is the only tall in the AFL who has had the longevity that Sydney aspires Buddy to achieve.....and Fletcher possesses a far different demeanour to Buddy.....physically and mentally....
