Freezin is right. OGE won the Team time trail so effectively Meyer being a team member won a team stage along with his team. Gerrins having the best time in the overall race got to wear yellow..
Technically Meyer was a winner of a stage along with his team mates.

It was the second victory in as many days for the Australian-owned team and propelled Melbourne-born Simon Gerrans into the yellow leader's jersey.

Speaking to _The West Australian _from the team bus yesterday, Meyer said the feeling of winning a stage of the iconic race was hard to put into words.

"It was one of the happiest moments for all the guys on the team and especially me in my first Tour de France," he said. "It's a bit of a dream come true and a bit of a whirlwind at the moment."

Meyer is the second WA rider to compete in the Tour de France after Henk Vogels, who rode the race in 1997 and 1999 with French team GAN.

In most cases the team is there for the Team leader and to help him win the race. Gerrins in this case. Impi did cut 30 seconds off Gerrins time so he did actually get to win the Yellow Jersey for a short time but that would of been planned. He was the First South African to wear gold.

The boys work hard for each other. And are good mates which goes a long way into winning this race..

Mountain stages now so they will try and get Simon Clarke over the line for the Polka dot jersey. He has had a couple of goes earlier in the race but unfortunately didnt succeed especially when he made a breakaway in a earlier race and go over run. Will be watching with interest to see what the OGE tactics are.

Orica Green Edge seems to have died a natural death cardy...they were great in the first couple of days but just aren't up to standard once the climbing starts.

Still A great effort BC. They said they have done what they came to do and more in the first few days in Corsica. Hoping their climber will have a bit of success in the mountains. Not bad for their second year in and they are very happy with the result so far. Cadel has been a bit of a let down at BMC..

As I said in an earlier post

Interesting that you should bring him up mate. If you go back to my first post on the topic he gets a mention and a pic. Now the bookies had him down as a better favourite than Cadel Evans. I watched it from the beginning and he never got a mention in the early stages of the race so I was wondering where he had gone. Well as you say over the last 3 stages he has certainly carried Froome to what most probably be a TDF win unless he gets hit by a truck. Froome came very close to having an accident last night and that would of taken a chunk of time off him.
Great to see him doing well and he will be a highlight in the Future for sure. Once commentator actaully said he could of actually won this years TDF but being a team man it wont happen.
Cadel is shot. Paul Sheridan said he has something wrong with him as he is not showing any challenge to the leaders. He doesnt look very happy when they show close ups either. Lets hope he improves during the Mountain stages but of course he now has no chance of winning.

OGE have done their job or should I say far exceeded expectations. Team happy and the owner is very very happy.. Got his moneys worth. Will be interesting to see if the OGE Hill climber will come up. I hope so as he has been a bit unlucky. Would love to see Simon Clarke in the Polka for even one stage

Know what you mean mate. When the cricket is on I flick between the two. Just heard on 91.3 that Froome was penalised 20 secs for getting food from Porte within 5 kms of the finish. Apparently that is the rule. As you said though Froome was knackered and they said he would of lost more than 20 secs if he didnt eat
