It’s very rare for me to say nice things about Tony Elbow’s Labourites, but this business about Chinese security cameras in our buildings is disgraceful.  Liberal’s 2 terms knowing that there were 900 cameras is abomination and not done the party’s reputation any favours.  They may have finally removed them, but was there any info that did any damage?

Well hopefully the Chinese were watching when a certain MP’s assistant was allegedly raped in parliament house and they can pass that vision on to the authorities. They’d probably be more useful than the useless fat security guards in Canberra. I’ve probably got the same cctv camera’s in my joint. Lol

Hopefully some techy types have investigated these cameras to see if they are able to store or transfer data beyond what the govt departments specified, if they cant do that, then whats the issue. No ones stated yet that there has been a security breach, they might just be cheap cameras. Sounds like some high quality posturing by Albo to me.

All political... cameras would need to be sitting on a WAN connection for this to be remotely possible. no military in the world would be dumb enough to do that with any type of sensitive information.

Countries all over the world are removing them according to the media. So not sure why Australia would be any different.
SS how would our Prime Minister be posturing over this?

If these damn camera's are as bad as some people say, why oh why are they available for sale!?
Would the federal/ state governments ban them from being sold? Or maybe look at why the importing license for these units was granted in the first place?
This next comment is amusing and highly tongue in cheek   but how about purchasing some Aussie made ones.

Oops- silly old I  forgetting that nothing is made here anymore. It appears governments not learnt anything from twenty 20/ 21

Unfortunately its pretty hard to find anything that isnt made in China these days, I read somewhere that most western army uniforms, UK included, come there as well,
