Such sad news right on the heels of Rod Marsh. Truly shocked with Shane Warne's passing. All-time great, still so young.

RIP Shane Warne.
Such sad news on the heels of losing Rod Marsh.
D K Lillee was the greatest bowler I had seen.
Then came Shane Warne, firstly with the greatest ball ever bowled.
Then he changed the game with pure variety.
Every kid wanted to be a leg spinner.
Greatest bowler I have seen.
And not a chuck in sight.
Rest easy Warnie.

WTF is going on here? 52 is no age, absolute tragedy, whatever folk thought of Warnie, the fella was an absolute legend on the cricket pitch.....so lucky and privileged to have been a fan of the game when he played. Great cricketing brain, the game of cricket will never ever see a leg spinner of Warnie's ilk ....definitely rock starred the art of leg spinning. Another sad day for Australian cricket, but also the game itself worldwide.

His commentary will be greatly missed. Gave great insight and had a wonderful cricket brain.

I used to bowl leg spin as a kid and could turn it like Warnie did but liked coming in off the long run up better. Went to a one day match at the WACA back in the early 90's I think. It was a Aus v South Africa one dayer. Was watching Mark Taylor batting in the nets and a top edge came off his bat and somehow flew over the net and into my hands. Bowler was Shane Warne and I threw the ball back over the net to him.

R.I.P Warnie you will be greatly missed.

Three larikans of the game up there together now. Dean Jones, Rod Marsh and Shane Warne.

Bloody hell Warnie.  The greatest spin bowler ever leaves us at such a young age.  I’m absolutely gobsmacked.
Rest in peace Shane.  Say g’day to Bachus.

This is a tragedy. Warnie was your quintessential Aussie larrikin who didn't give a stuff about a whole lot and said it like it was. I'll miss his commentary, his perspective on cricket and just the way he was larger than life. RIP Shane.
