The best footballers I have ever seen, well there are three two of whom did not play league.

Joshua McGuire and Chris Bagshaw were both brilliant footballers when play colts for EP, they could do anything. Chris tragically suffered  kidney injury that saw him unable to continue (really nice man as well). Josh well he was everything a McGuire should be on the field. Not sure why but he never went on but did catch up with couple years ago and he seemed ok and well which is always a good thing!

Kevin Humphries was just brilliant but sadly he was overshadowed by a WCE recruit, they both made their league debuts in the same game and Kevin was very good and seemed to me to be destined for the next step but as with lots of things EP he was to be become a forgotten player.

I could say lots of players from the WAFL particularly at colts level, the Swallows from EF, Fyfe at CL, Coniglio, Rich and so on, all great players and great to watch then and in some case now!
We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so stupid people won't be offended

In no particular order Malcolm Blight, Peter Matera, Gary Ablett Snr, Wayne Carey, Stephen Kernahan, Bruce Doull, Tony Lockett, Peter Daicos, Leigh Matthews and at the club I follow Bomber Peake.

Heard the same about Rod Buckenara, he was considered a better player which means he would have been sensational. I heard that their old man guided them to ammo's rather than colts so they were playing against men as early as possible. Interesting approach.

Also heard that about Rod, didn't he scrape all the skin off his hands/arm on a treadmill and wasn't able to fix that?
Gary was one of my all time favourites along with Ocker and Keith Watt.

Best footballer I have ever seen?  Just too hard to limit it to one.
Brian Peake, nuff said.  Doug Green, what a champion.  Arms 6 foot long and didn’t let much past himself.

Cody Legget, should be playing half back in the AFL

Bias aside, TI, everyone knows why and he also was a bloody gentleman.  Leon Baker, the ultimate footballer.  They all talk about “Silk” that plays for Hawthorn, but my humble opinion is that Leon Baker was a tad better.  Ron Boucher, a fearsome man, but also a gentleman.
2x25= Seinor and Michael = 1xBrian Peake

Some of the 1980's big names come to mind for myself..Seen the end of Cables career.Never seen Robran,Ebert or Cornes play from SA.

Wa Peake,Michaels,Rioli,Baker,Wiley,Duck worth.Wayne Blackwell,Jimmy+Phil.Didnt see Polly or Walker play.
To three player that stick out to me are Baker and Rioli. P Materia,That could take there games to a super elite level in big games.

Agree re Leon Baker, watched him in those early 80's finals, a sublime talent.
Some mention of Vicco players including Matthews, great player but I wont place him near the top as he was an absolute thug on the field. Will never forget the state game at Subi where, right in front of me, he ran through Cable with an elbow that saw cable off the ground on a stretcher, never liked him after that.

While I never saw him play live, I've seen a fair bit of vision of Daryl "Doc" Baldock, what a player, just 6 feet tall but played and dominated a key position, his style of play would have stood up equally well today. Others were Ian Stewart, Peter Hudson, peter Knights, the list could go on.
