1976 for me. We had to come from the first semi but I knew deep down we were capable of winning the premiership. Having said that we were almost knocked out by WP in the first semi. They were about 5 goals up late in the third quarter but luckily we came storming home in the last.

Has to be 2000-3, surely no one will disagree with them, followed by 72 and 78.
We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so stupid people won't be offended

2010 for me. For SD supporters raised on the 1961 heroics, 2010 is kind of the modern day equivalent. I wasn't around for 1961, but when I started work in a foundry in Bassendean in late 1979 the game was still discussed/argued about amongst the many EP/SD supporters in the shop. An indelible event in WANFL history.

didnt see the ones in the 60s but 1961 would have been a special occasion

I remember those early 60’s GFs. My mate was an SD tragic and we used to listen to them in our little country town. The 65 was best, we sat on a dusty, dry oval for the whole game tuned in to it on my tiny radio.

You would have enjoyed the last quarter of the 1965 game Shark. Not your mate though.

Sure did enjoy it Mike, especially after the heartbreak of the previous year.
I had the tape of the game and put it on disc.

1961 is undoubtedly our greatest Premiership win even though I was not around for it as I wasnt born until the mid 70s...we had never won a flag, had lost all 4 games easily that year to EP who were the best side in that era, we would have been 100/1 to win it with the bookies but won easily with Keith Slater playing an incredible game to nullify Polly Farmer and win the Simpson Medal.

For me personally the 1982 Premiership was my most memorable experience at the footy with us winning our first flag in my lifetime, as I posted before the scenes after the game both at Subiaco Oval and around the streets afterwards and then back at Basso that night were unforgettable.

2010 is the only Premiership we have won since I finished school breaking a 20 year drought and was the best GF in this era by a long way with one of the greatest performances witnessed on a footy field by Andrew Krakouer with 40 odd disposals and 4 goals and a pretty handy cameo by a 16yo schoolboy Stevie Coniglio in just his 5th game of League footy kicking 4 majors as well. The scenes after the final siren and then back in the rooms and then back at the club later that night took us back to the halcyon days and the media exposure from that game for weeks after is the only time since pre Eagles there has been that much WAFL coverage in the mainstream media.

Great days albeit far too brief for my liking!

Well EFFC have 29 - obviously many won eons ago so I will stick to post WWII where prermierships up until recently where more evenly shared. Since then we have beaten all the other clubs in a GF (excluding Mandjar) at least once. The cherry on top is 2 against our greatest rival. Both of which are contenders for our greatest flag. 1994 was also great - a tremendous effort by players and coach. Game plan executed to perfection. 1965 ended a wretched run of 3 GF losses in a row. A 4 goal 3 quarter time deficit was overturned in the process. It has been said that 1957 was the hardest fought though. It was a close result against the Royals after a herculean effort against the Demons the week before when a 9 goal 3 quarter time deficit was overturned. Hard to go past that.

Been watching Subi since the early 60's, had to wait for '73 to see my first flag, pretty privileged given many never saw a Flag or had waited that 49 years to see one, so hard to go past it especially when the Munchers had totally dominated us all season except for the one that mattered. 2014 again as rank outsiders beating an AFL outfit was pretty special and '86 as well after being totally demolished in the 2nd semi, a narrow win over the D's in the prelim, then taking apart a very arrogant EF outfit from the very first bounce.

Love watching those old 60's replays with the one on one contests, drop kicks, the banners around the ground perimeter with team slogans and the paper streamers and confetti. Great atmosphere.

I have a dvd of the 1965 Grand Final given to me a few years ago by Mike Regan when he contacted me about my notice in Can You Help about Sunday football.
As a Swans Supporter, seeing the hat trick from 1982-84 was something to remember. I was the statistician the day they won the flag in 1990 and was there for 2010.
The 1961 is obviously the important one at the club. I also have a family connection to the 1962 and 63 flags as one of my cousins, Frank Copeman, played in both those games.
The 1996 Grand Final between Claremont and East Perth was an outstanding game of football, as was the 1985 game between East Fremantle and Subiaco.
