BH: thanks -- he has had a good run; Could be a record in the competition. Having said that, even the great H Bunton got us into three finals series without winning a game in the late 1960s. Grant Dorrington did two years with EP in the early 1980s. I can't think of anybody else. As you know, clubs usually sack coaches pretty quickly as a general rule.

Kevan Sparks won just one final in four years. He too, had a good turn as coach.

Today the Swans players were embarrassing for the club. There would be about 5 to 6 players who could say they did their bit.
Players today displayed poor kicking and handball skills, along with terrible decision making. We are slow in the mid and even though Gault was excellent in the ruck we rarely won the ball out of the centre.
Our forwards lack the ability to apply pressure and hold the ball in our forward 50.
My two main observations:
Faulkner - Even though he is one of our highest possession player, he hurts the team with turnovers and setting up his team mates with hospital balls. Just ask Ugle.....poor Kirk didn't come out after time. Faulks has no left side, he always turns around in a circle. His position in 2018, ?.
Stewart - If he wants to play at the next, Taryce needs to run to the ball and not wait for it to fall in his lap. He needs to improve his defensive aspect of his game and show some endeavour.

Next week, I don't know how we will go, but as always i will go the game, cheer and support the mighty black and whites. I just hope the boys can turn it round for the club and for the supporters.

JTT that is exactly what every Swans' supporter should do. Come to Basso next Sunday and support our club. Whilst to state the obvious our last month hasn't been good we won enough games over the season to finish fourth and every team that the club fielded this year made the finals and three wonen's teams won their respective grand finals. That is a mighty result and even more so given the 2016 year we had.

I will be there as I have been every week bar one. Whatever the result it will be the last WAFL game of the season for me as I am going to Europe for 4 weeks the day after. So I am hoping for a positive send off and a reason to tune into the WAFL website the weekend after!

Why the fuck are we playing on Sunday?? Whoever gets through will have a days less rest compared to SF or Peel? And if its Peel then AFL listers are getting a day extra break than SD or WP? No AFL next week makes zero sense! Play both on Sat ffs
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

Mate to be honest scraping into 4th & 5th with percentages in the 80s they both don't deserve any favours whatsoever.
Anyways WP will only have a light training run next Sunday at Basso jogging around black & white witches hats before they take on hopefully a banged up Freo Reserves the week after whilst we will be sucking on mothballs early yet again!
