Ellard went in the book so they were bound to reverse it

DW putting aside our performance today can you understand why Cary did not receive several free kicks for being held without the ball today?

To add some perspective to all the doom and gloom over today's game, perhaps we should reflect on last season and the improvement this year. Currently all three teams could potentially make the finals this season. How far any of them who knows but it is a far better season than last season.

Yes ...his name starts with a "W" ...the 3rd qtr umpiring was atrocious with blatant ego tripping from ump in question. His calls v Crowley were obnoxious and not in the realm of the rule book...like I said ego tripping...when you notice the umpire admiring his own work you know there is a problem...having said that umpiring is not why we lost today but clearly that fella has it in for some players at SD, not necessarily the club itself

That is why the decision and 50m penalty was so reprehensible. As I said in the context of what wasn't paid to Cary there was no way the free should have been paid. Secondly, how many deliberate out-of-bounds were paid today?

It constantly amazes me how full forwards are allowed to be scragged and held by defenders. Pay those kicks and we might start seeing some higher scoring free flowing footy that we all desire. Being held without ball in hand is being held illegally so pay the bloody kick.

What will be remarkable is if we once again like the last time we played EF at Basso this week we have Worobec & Fry umpiring the match considering both have very close ties to the Sharks!!!
If that were to happen again you would have to wonder about the credibility of the umpiring fraternity...although that may have long gone by!

DW they are paid in our defensive 50m arc. They are just not paid in our attacking 50m arc.

Your ginger wine drinking buddy was getting them paid to himself up the other end DW including a very charitable 50m to boot...I still stand by my call on the umpires affliction with the Black & White colours/jumper from a while back!

I understand the frustrations with umps but would rather concentrate on things we can control. Have someone running through Cary's opponent early would be a start. Pity Rog is out for the season
