don't jump the gun lads: Harding has another year, in spite of my best efforts over the last 18 months.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned as yet was the bizarre decision at the selection table to have the only 2 players currently to have kicked more than 9 goals for the year and that have kicked probably a third of our piss poor goal tally for the year playing Reserves on Saturday?!
How on earth could you possibly think we could amount anywhere near enough goals to make a contest of it let alone win the game!

now now BH, are you expecting some smart selection moves from Harding ?
he decided to tag Bolton with Burnham who ususally spend his saturdays getting stats near the boundary line, 40 possessions later that move worked well.

some blokes get promoted or continue to get a game and have not improved at all, good young kids I am sure but not up to league footy skill wise.

Coniglio gets it a heap but fumbles and cant hit a target 10 metres away and all he and Burham do when they get the ball is kick it sideways, Murray not up to it, the mid-field is a massive weakness and young Logue had to play on-ball, ruck and forward to plug holes and was excellent again.

Erceg very good, Turner kept Richardson goaless which is a great effort as he usually destroys us and Grescos kept Bradshaw to 4 kicks and has been great the last 2 games.

Yukich tries hard but we get nothing from him around the ground and maybe ruck Nuich if his fitness is back, Rudy worked hard up forward but not sure why Cary and Rogers are in the 2nds.

Clarke should come in this week and probably Dean as our mid-field stocks are pretty low.

Tiger of old wrote: I wasn't at the game but going by the stats it looks like Bolton may have recieved another five votes, he's gonna be very hard to stop for the Sandover now and must be a strong chance of getting drafted again, good for him but from a selfish view I hope he's still playing wafl next year. Looks like Jake Waterman had a very quiet game after a sensational debut - I hope the Eagles hadn't whispered in his ear and told him to lower his efforts. Unlikely I suppose but you never know.

Methinks he has scored more than enough runs,if one may use a Cricket analogy, for many clubs to sit up and take notice,Tiger.

That being the case, doesn't that force West Coast to use their Father//Son pick earlier than hoped?

I just wonder at what stage of the 11 inside 50s Bolton had yesterday did the SD brain trust try and negate his influence on the game???

Perhaps BH and you should apply for the coaching position next year.

Only if you join us 42....like the 3 musketeers...one in all in...I'm already looking forward to your 3qtr time speeches :)

Hmmm with DW not in attendance for many weeks and 42's tendency of late to leave the ground a tad early it might be left up to me to 'carry the can' at the end of the day!

BH once again you are LYING. Desist immediately.

Surely the club or more to the point match committee has a duty to its members and supporters who have kept the club afloat for decades when all looked lost to be putting its best side on the park from those available for selection?
Far too often for my liking over the last few years we have taken the field with less than our best 22 available and the results are there for all to see at the moment.
This is WAFL League football for goodness sake a League game should be earned through good form.
The disillusionment and disgruntlement amongst so many Swans supporters to our current position means the club has a lot of work to do over the Summer just to win back the faith, we are a very loyal breed but most of us are not completely naive to ALL aspects of the game!

I do query whether Smart and Harding know a good footballer at times, Smart is still living off picking up Nat Fyfe and Harding plays his favourites.
both should be on borrowed time and have had long enough to do something.

What really disappoints me MO is the erosion of a Black Duck culture of never say die that not long back I thought we were developing but with some of the bizarre selections at times we are almost giving ourselves an out as to the continual poor performances on the park.
One only has to look at a club like WP to see how far a culture and ethos of never say die can take a side!

Relax man!

If this season were the 2nd or 3rd year like this then fair enough but until then I think we should have some faith! Last year we missed the finals by a game, the year before finished 4th. It's been stated numerous times our injury woes and several player departures for a raft of reasons which has left a massive hole.

Picking our best team is all down to perception at the moment but I'm happy for someone not quite up to it to get a game so we can work out whether or not they can play.

I was surprised that both Cary and Rogers played Ressies but both are having interrupted seasons.

Cmon MO! Credit must be given to both for the number of kids we've had drafted in recent years?! Add that to the fact we've had little to no recruiting and we find ourselves in our current situation on the back of also some unforeseen circumstances. You can't polish a turd!
