They both wanted to be at Swans but in their $$ terms, not Swans so they left it as late as they could to see if Swans changed their mind.
Blokes know who to call in February for an extra 10-20k - Subi.
The transfer fee can be pumped into our kids so no drama for Swans

I saw the intra club on the weekend and was impressed by a few young players. It was hard at it and they played 5 quarters with teams evenly matched.
I hear Anderson has hardly trained and has a questionable worth ethic since being overlooked in the draft to the point of maybe being giving his marching orders if he doesnt improve quick smart..that would be a shame but club knows best
Boekhurst will be hard to replace but Slater from EP seems to be given space on the wing and may get first crack..He is very quick and gets the ball and runs with it ala Boeky although his disposal let him down at times.
Houghton and Cary looked like a lively duo up forward.
I dont expect Wityk to play any league games but gives depth to the ressies.
Yukich still growing into his body - no chance for a league birth yet IMO so ruck will be a massive concern for us early on.
Rogers, Davis and Simmo very fit and hard at it. I hear Rogers is weighing up many offers from the bush - Lets hope not - he is a jet!
Notte has not put on a feather as per previous pre seasons and seems destined for a another big year at CHB & CHF.
Geappen gave it a miss but looked reasonably fit and primed for one more crack.
There was some impressive performances from some young fellas but not sure of their names as yet - I expect they were colts or coming out of colts but there is certainly a lot to like down at Basso now and for the future.
Go Black Ducks!

Just turned 29, BC, so he has still got a few years left in him. I just wonder why he did part of a pre season at Swans if all he wanted was to play in a team in its premiership window as Freezin seems to be suggesting. He may find himself on the bench a fair bit at Subi given their strength

worked a treat for Twomey didn't it mikeh?......perhaps Robbo through training with SD early on, realised they aren't as close as he would like them to be at this stage in his career to winning a flag.....obviously more coin played a factor too.....who knows eh?.

I think most Swans fans are under no illusions that our guys face another significant challenge this year and experience wise are a fair bit behind most of the other clubs, particularly now with the long term loss of Blakely and Banfield. They responded brilliantly to this situation in 2014 and we wait and see if they can do the same this year.

I'm sure Robbo would have known about Swans parlous financial position and their subsequent emphasis on youth development so I still am wondering why he didn't just go straight to Subi when he decided to return to WAFL. As you say Freezin, we are just guessing......
