Barney East Perth were aligned to the eagles in 2000,2001 and 2013 in some capacity. They played 7 times over those 3 years!

Thanks

How were they an aligned team last year when all teams had AFL players?

Both alignments/partnerships commenced in 2013!! Before moving to the full alignment/partnership for 2014

This is why all drafted players from outside if WA at the end of 2012 where aligned to Peel and East Perth. Hence Cale Morton and Jamie Cripps played for East Perth rather than Claremont and East Fremantle for example - if there was no alignment this would not have happened as per previous years!

So yes I am including last year in my records as the alignment began last year.

If you read this article quoting Cale Morton from May 2013 it clearly states the alignment was in action last year.

www.westcoasteagles.com.au/news/2013-05-...vours-wafl-alignment

Here's a quote
"New West Coast recruit Cale Morton says his club's alignment with East Perth is helping him to improve his game"

Hopefully that clarifies where I got my stats from :)

Alex Forster from SA played 18 games at Swans in 2013, Lachie Neale from SA played 8 games. Jamie Bennell came back from Melbourne, didn't go to East Perth and played 15 games.

Hardly accurate statistical conditions to start saying Swans was beaten by an alignment team especially when those players played against East Perth and even after you said yourself "Before moving to the full alignment/partnership for 2014"

Ok Barney, believe what you want ..

Alex Forster and Lachie Neale plus every other afl listed player remained at their WAFL club that they were assigned to in 2012 for the 2013 season. With a few exceptions being that dockers players with east Perth and eagles players Peel were swapped? I wonder why - maybe because there was an alignment between the WAFL and afl clubs. Or maybe the WAFL clubs thought yer sure lets just swap some afl players around. Also Forster was actually moved to peel before the season actually started and played 0 games for swans in 2013!

All returning ex WAFL players recruited by the eagles and dockers for the 2013 season went to the aligned club. Jamie Bennell was already signed by swans before being rookie listed with the eagles that is why he remained at swans.

I am not sure how hard it is for you to understand this FACT. It is clear that the alignment, in part, started in 2013 and is in full swing this year. To say there was NO alignment last year is blatantly incorrect.

If there was no alignment between west coast and East Perth last year was Morton and cripps at east Perth then? And as I staid earlier was Lycett moved to EP and Clarke and Crozier sent to Peel last year?

Totally agree the full alignment starts this year, but the facts are that their was an alignment in place for 2013 which again is why swans are 0-7 against East Perth when they have an alignment with the eagles!

They are in fact 0-4 against East Perth when they have had a FULL alignment with the Eagles and did manage to sneak a win against a fully aligned Claremont in 1999 though by 6 points.

So for Barney's sake against fully aligned West Coast WAFL clubs swans have a record of 1-6!

Happy to accept feedback on my stats anytime, but I will defend them when I am correct.

Checking out the team lists from the 3 EP V SD games last year. Let's have a look at the afl players for each game and tell me the alignment wasn't in in some form.

Round 9
Afl players
SD Andrew Embley - Swans product recruited to WCE in 1998 (actually played against Swans for Claremont in 1999)
EP Scott Lycett (transferred from PEEL) Cale Morton (Claremont product drafted by WCE sent to EP) Jamie Cripps ( EF product drafted by WCE, sent to EP)

Round 18
SD Jamie Bennell - Swans product, signed by SD prior to rookie draft in 2013
EP Lycett

1semi
SD Embley and Bennell
EP Lycett, Morton, Cripps and A.Selwood (always been assign to EP under old agreement)

I rest my case!

Oh dear Barney please stop now before embarrassing yourself any further-
Alex Forster was moved to Peel for the whole 2013 season
Lachie Neale did not play for SD vs EP last year
Jamie Bennell was delisted by Melbourne then signed to play back at Swans 2 months before WCE picked him up in the Rookie Draft hence stayed at Swans (for half of the year he was recovering from a knee reco)

Fark Barney, give me strength ! You blokes need to accept that your gonsky as a club, as soon as you guys accept it, the pain of us G7 supporters giving you shit will dissipate in a flash !

If the Ferals didnt have those 5 AFL players magically appear in the GF, you would have lost by 90+.

Think Barney might be a Subi supporter, not EP
