2nd qtr all Claremont. Swans got out hustled and out worked. The boys need to come out with passion & pride. And for f@#k sake start holding on to easy marks.

The bad news is that East Fremantle are smashing the falcons, so we are out of the four. You would have to think on current form we will struggle to beat the Sharks next week as they are coming home with a wet sail.

Very disappointing. This team after quarter time simply got taken to the wood shed. They were out classed but worse they appeared to be going through the motions. On current form it would be hard to see them competing against an empty field.

and yet only 4 weeks ago they beat the same team by 5 goals? Claremont were underdone that day though. Hope they've got something left in the tank for next week as this will be their last chance to make something of this season.

I think that home ground advantage and regaining pride after today will make it difficult for us next week Mike.
On the bright side, what a magnificent finish to the season - all still to be won or lost. The AFL would kill to have a scenario like the WAFL's.

It would be great to see the boys play their best footy over the next two weeks. This team when playing at their best can truly compete against anyone. Unfortunately over the last two seasons we've been more likely to see what was seen today. The first quarter they played hard, a few too many errors with passes falling short, marks dropped that should never have been dropped, but they were playing hard-nose footy and did not back down at all. I'd love to know what changed and changed so drastically! They almost seemed disinterested at times.

Getting beat by Claremont is acceptable if they had played hard and competed. None of this is to take away from Claremont. They came out and took care of business as they've done for most of the year.

But as you stated Mike, though not at the best, just weeks ago Swans played 4 complete quarters of footy and showed what they were capable of.

Here's hoping for the best.

SH that is what I have been saying all season long ..we are the Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde of the WAFL not just from week to week but from qtr to qtr ..after qtr time today we were probably more like Frankenstein tho *very ugly*!!

BH every team has that bad qtr..and the bad week look at our game today
At Half time we were even with EF... Which surprised me but that is another story.
3rd QTR EF kicked 9 goals against us and blew us out of the water.
Fark how does that happen... I think Bill gives our guys UNPERFOMANCEING Drugs at half time.. I have seen it so many times.
That 3rd qtr gives me nightmares in close games when we play.

So SD are not alone. I am sure other posters from different clubs can give similar examples..
Someone from EF might be able to explain last years GF!

Although I missed all footy this weekend due to a coaching course it seems you can book a first semi ticket 58, I taped your game on tune-in radio as I couldn't get my game and listened later on and it sounded very dark for West Perth today and the score updates from Claremont no better, good day not to b able to attend, Stavros has you blokes peaking at the right time and from what someone at the game text me today= we are cooked!
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!
