Mike I agree...but they have already recently allowed a couple of players from Vic into WA to play at other WAFL clubs in the last couple of weeks, this is not a one off despite Freeze's uproar as it is SD now....3 topics he has brought this up in now and not even a peep on the other recent arriving Vic lads at WP & EP!

BH, you my friend have been very vocal in your anti CoVIC, Sicktoria and Vidtoria posts mate...more so than any of the EP or WP posters so far here on OzFooty....thus my many Lowden references so far....but glad to hear you have concerns like mikeh about SD targeting CoVIC players.

Some further thoughts about Lowson. Even if he gets an exemption which I would think would be very unlikely at this stage, My understanding is that he would then be forced to quarantine for 2 weeks in another state followed by 2 weeks in WA before he was allowed to come anywhere near Bassendean Oval, so half the season would be over by the time he was even allowed to train. This doesnt stack up either from the point of view of the player or the club.

BH I think the difference is things have changed just this past week or fortnight. Emperor Mark has tightened the reasons to come into WA in light of the chaos in Victoria. Think it was only last week Premier and Minister for Health said we don't want Victorians here at all with the exception of essential services and on compassionate grounds.

I doubt any footballer wanting to come here to play WAFL from Victoria falls under those categories.

Even Luke Meadows, who is a West Australian would be denied if he left it a week or two later. The Falcons must have got him back just in time.

LOL TF...nothing wrong with staying local mate...proven COVID free risk recruiting strategy right there...anyway always a tough gig replacing 5 AFL draftees...but not sure your footy club would know that gig is like mate.....kudos to SD for being proactive and putting that mobile phone tower money to good use.
