George, what goodie and i are saying is can the right frame be widenend. Its got nothing to do with screen resolution at the user end.

Short answer, at the moment - no it can't.

The reason for this is the template that's being used. The template is fixed width.

It's set at 1024px (updated last night from 980px). This is the maximum for the fixed width before people with laptops and the like might needing to scroll across the page.

This is the reason why a background image is used on 99% of websites. 980px is still considered to be the norm.

In the near future, we will look at installing a template which is "responsive" and will adjust automatically to users screen sizes.

Mike.

hi mike, yeah nothing to do with resolution, more to do with the amount of spare space to the left and right. It's more a personal thing i suppose but i'd prefer a wider box to type in and maybe remove the 'my oz footy account' and 'sign in' stuff that is displayed on the left. The 'grass' looks good though. I'm just nitpicking though as i just like uncluttered stuff.

But the site looks great and no doubt will take over from footygoss especially as the season gets closer. Great work and I'm glad somebody got off their ass and did this. Hopefully it will be completely independent, free of censorship, and not over-moderated.

Any chance putting a 'Like' button to click so we can like a comment similar to Facebook without having to comment if we dont want to?

Which ever way it is like or dislike then make comment. We may as well have a dislike button as well.Save typing and the putor running out of paper and ink ;)

It was just a thought when you agree with a comment or someone gets in first with something you wanted to say you could just like it, just a suggestion for the suggestion box

Hi All,

I acknowledge the latest suggestions. The removal of the side boxes could be a possibilty, and I have also given this some thought, however time permitting again.

The "like" idea? Do you mean a Facebooks like, or a like/dislike post on this website?

Mike
