Thought I was seeing things when reading the figure.
Over the past 4 seasons the minimum attendance has been between 1400 to 1700. And the maximum attendance has been just over 5000.
To hear of the 1,077 figure is most disappointing and would be the lowest derby crowd number since the 2015 season from what I can see
Obviously the Wafl is again going to struggle along with low attendance figures. If this is not a bloody wake up call, not sure what is!

Not really a once off as I attended a Freo Derby at EF Oval a few years back (the one Tim Kelly was knocked out at the first bounce) when Swans had played the day before or had a bye and that day the crowd wouldnt have had 1000 there as I was the only one in the outer and looking across the ground to the members side and Cowan Stand was just as sparse.

As an independent I cant see why some on here bag Freo oval it may be old and a bit tattered but has 100 times the atmosphere that Moss Street has ever had even with a small crowd, just my opinion.

The only issue is that people take a punt that it won't be a close game and keep getting it right. It would be totally different if say it was 1 v 2 or 2 v 3.

The timing of the Derby being just prior to a dockers 6 o'clock start may have contributed.

Excatly STT! I havent been to a derby in a while due to the horrible performances of EF. I used to go all the time to watch sharks v South's games (and other WAFL games) but just cant be bothered anymore.

Every pre-season i hope to be going to some WAFL games, but going on the last few years, it hasnt eventuated because East Freo remain retarded on game day! Down to one game last year and none this year that ive attended.

Just sick and tired of getting belted each time. Just the way i feel, and i know others will say you have to stick by them etc, but i have other things i'd rather be doing than waste my life watching that rubbish every weekend.
