The ball movement between the 50mt lines is not ok if the entries into the 50 are off. If the entries into the forward 50m are off how much blame can be put on the forwards or Phil Matera? Maybe some creative coaching could have seen a different avenue to goal open up - perhaps matching Peel for inside 50s despite having 50 less disposals does suggest some inventiveness. You would certainly need a lot of creative thinking to reason we should won despite trailing for the entire match, had nearly 50 less disposals, made less tackles, with poor ball movement particularly going inside 50 and all the other excuses thrown up - ever thought about coaching?

Coached juniors for many years, and am still a keen watcher and analyser of the game. Poor ball movement, less tackles reflects poor coaching. He has had them for 18 months.
