I'm not sure what exactly you're saying southerner. Hampson is a home grown product and given he wants out and is breaking his contract, Subi wouldn't have to pay it out.

No that's right the club wanting him pays subi mate

Ok another reference >>>> George was being looked at by AFL clubs as a mature age draftee , so the figure for a draftee is 35K (less the theft by the WAFC this year) so Subi won't give him away to let another club possibly score a bonus , who knows Hammo might have a blinder this year and get drafted
So you can see why they play hardball , it's a business mate nowadays and he's their player & property BC

ok...with you now although I'm not sure he's worth that much. I'm a huge fan of George and have watched him develop over the last couple of years and would sooner he stays at Subi than go elsewhere...but that's not going to happen and obviously Subi want to maximise their return but need to be realistic in today's tough financial times. I guess they're just trying to recoup the coin they've paid out on Menagola, Hancock, Kitchin and Lockyer to some extent. as you say it's a business these days and everyone's trying to make a buck.

Yep bang on mate
To be honest I think there's 3 clubs who can immediately fit him in under their WAFL salary caps
They being Claremont , Perth & Swan Districts (given departures from 2014)

The rest of us fat chance lest creative accounting sort of thing

For South to get him it means trading a top paid player (the points aren't an issue at all here for us) to get under the cap , also very simple brother

Not sure whether Curls & Raitt will do that

I guess things are a bit different at WAFL level...as a club, Subi would like the coin plus a good young developing kid to mould into a top line WAFL player...but as soon as they show any promise, the AFL ars*holes come sniffing around and before you know it, he's lining up for WART, FART or over east. as an aside, how is Haydn Raitt these days? I used to play footy with him at CBC and always thought he was a top bloke.

Would make East Freo favourites for the flag now with Anthony and Hampson on board.
South and East Perth up there with Subi maybe rounding out the 4

Big call MO! I would think that last year's grand final participants Subiaco and East Perth would be favourites at this stage.

Can't see how it's a big call, only bad kicking kept you from the gf and you picked up one of the best forwards from the premiers and Anthony who will be a top mid.
Pretty simple really
