As for Chartres I think he will be good list depth for you guys. The type of guy that can fill in for an injured team mate for 2 or 3 weeks. Back or forward.

can't blame Waight.....he would be behind the likes of Lester-smith BOB,Depane Bourne and the midfield for some medium - small forward goals....

pity about Howson......EF can't afford to lose tall goal kicking forwards, hopefully the year out may be all he needs.....saying that he didn't get much of a fair go last year, even though he was regularly kicking 3 -4 goals in the reserves.

Good to see Symonds still there, needs to step up his work rate this year to at least enable Young to play forward and to help tall youngsters in Fletcher and Solomon make the adjustment from colts to senior footy.....pity about Macdougall not being around.....whilst not a dominant big man, at least competitive and a goer.

like EF medium to small players selection.....just reckon they will struggle big time height wise......hopefully Perth has its wettest winter in years....

I know it's bloody unfair to compare sons with their illustrious fathers but .... if Old Easts can develop & blood Jordan Dorotich they may very well uncover an answer or two

from memory Dorotich jnr got injured early last year, be interested to see how he goes this year......as for Macdougall, I believe work commitments have resulted in his no go show this year in the WAFL.....sign of the times I guess.

Roman, height wise EF will be vulnerable I believe, especially tall guys with experience.....youngsters in Solomon and Fletcher are both 197cm, Symonds is 200cm, Byron-Pendergast is 205cm and Chalwell & Stokes are both 194 cm.....experience wise there is only Young, Chartres and to a lesser extent Perham......all the youngsters are decent heights, but really a year or three behind impact wise.....though Symonds played some ok league early on before getting sidelined for MacDougall......Chalwell I have been beating his drum for a good few years....really needs to step up or move on....Stokes played some good reserves footy from all accounts but like Solomon, Byron-Pendergast and Flecther they will need a year or three finding their feet......
