Great win by the League team yesterday in a tough, dour affair at times. If not for poor conversion in front of goals, the result would have been done and dusted earlier. Murdock, Baskerville and Schoenfeld we’re excellent through the middle while Hagan, Holmes and English were buzzing around up forward. Marsh again hit the scoreboard while McGuire had 6 shots at goal but only kicked 1. He has really stepped up after the loss of Dixon, Strnadica and Teakle. Jupp, Eardley, Tassone and the impressive Cleaver resolute down back.

Another pressure game next weekend, where a win locks up the double chance.

More possession, more inside 50s and alot more tackles than our opponents. That for me was most impressive. Along with Buddha receiving 9 free kicks.

Dog shit park hasn't been the happiest hunting ground for us so roast tiger tasted pretty good yesterday. Didn't go down so well with the locals who at times became ill-tempered on and off the field.

Eardley was outstanding again off half back. Buddha and Baskers typically through the middle were excellent.  The Bull up front and Lukey English were lively. Gorringe also had a very good afternoon and our two 17 year olds continued to impress doing their draft prospects no harm.

Yep wins v Cl, and especially at their home ground have been few and far between for EF of late. Great to see that team effort come to the fore again.....though disappointing to see  that Marsh was reported late in the game apparently. Watched the first 3 quarters on the AFL app, so didn't see the supposed incident with Cl Ryan Lim. Last thing EF needs is for Marsh to be rubbed out for a few games, especially since the tribunal have been pretty tough so far, with a number of 1-2 game suspensions handed out.

Anyone see the incident? I guess if Marsh does go down, it's only for 1 match.....be a good opportunity for Simpson to kick a few goals against his old side.....looks like O'Reilly is gone for the year and Teakle probably no chance of coming back either from Port.

There was something very late in the game but I thought it was just one of the soft college boys taking a dive.

Was a late hit after the Claremont player had disposed of the ball. Think it was square up for the push to the ground on a EF player in the second quarter while he was coming of the ground and had his back to him. (number 1 i think from EF)

Said to the missus, he could be in trouble if it was high, but being that it was on the outer, was hard to tell where the connection was, but Claremont player stayed down for a bit afterwards. The piece of shit got what he deserved as far as i was concerned, but certainly there was no need for Marsh do do that, so will only have himself to blame if he gets rubbed out.

Great win for sure and I loved it.  That certainly wasn't the Claremont that we've seen throughout the year.

I see Marsh copped a reprimand at the MRP so all good to go.

Cheers for the update BC. As the president of the Jono Marsh fan club no doubt you are as happy as East Freo supporters are relieved. Seemed nothing in it really to the naked eye. A bit silly but nothing more.

Yes TM, it's funny how the Marsh brothers are polar opposite's. Harry just gets on with it without a lot of histrionics whereas Jono likes to carry on and be the centre of attention. Both very good players but a different on-field persona. Anyway, good luck to you lot and it's great for the comp he wasn't rubbed out.

You definitely notice Jono when he plays and he is a fine player in my opinion and EFFC is lucky to have him. Harrison to me seems inconspicuous. I watched Subi play a few times before i could even pick him out. No idea what he is like as a player or what position(s) he plays. Reckon he should come back to East Freo though, join his bother and respect his blood lines.
