Umpiring not great again but the rub of the green with us. Kicking for goal for both sides not great. Both teams missing players. Boekhurst for us very quiet, Jansen quiet and Baskers well down stats wise. Buddha was our best for me Eardley, Jupp and Burton down back all good, Goddard solid in the ruck. Monty and Williamson lively up front.

With the game up for grabs at 3/4 time, it was great to see EF stand tall and find a way to win, especially with theirr two leading goal kickers out in O'Reilly and Marsh. Fantastic to see Murdock on the park again, feels like a new recruit after his injury ravaged season last year. Touch wood Schoenfeld can do the same when he returns.

Thought the ES boys  contributed strongly, only early days but both Williamson and MacDonald look likely sorts, adding much needed depth to the club. Good spread of goal kickers,, but should of won by more with that end score line of 13.20.

Next 4 games will definitely be the litmus test in terms of where the team sits in the WAFL pecking order....been a long time since EF have been 4-1.....great to see young Rueben McGuire back up n running as well free his hamstring woes preseason.

Little Murdock was clearly best for the Sharks. Needed to as well with Boekhorst and Baskerville down on output. One of the 2 missing forwards was needed to finish off the good work by the Mids- Teakle, Leggett, Jansen and Goddard were ineffective when forward.
Thought Tucker and Burton continued their improved form. Big game next week against a resurgent Subi but 4 wins in a row- been a while since that happened.

After losing Strnadica, Dixon and Dixon on the eve of the season, it was doom and gloom. Great job by Monaghan and co to adjust. Though it makes you wonder what was possible if we still had those 3.

Totally agree on Williamson and McDonald, Freezin. They look like handy pick ups. Thought that was Goddard’s best game as well

I thought Perth may have tipped us over because they kept coming back at us.  Great to see the Sharks hit top gear when needed.  Subi next week should give us an idea where we sit.  Actually, the next 4 games are all going to show us where we’re at.  Going to need the squad to stay healthy.
