What a big game this is- a desperate WP who have lost to Subi and SF against an improving Sharks team. You feel EF will need to be at their absolute best here. EF lost to WP by 4 points up there last year in a game they should’ve won. With an improved team and the new recruits in Schoenfeld, English, Marsh and Dixon finding form- EF should go in confident that they can come away with the 4 points. Come in cock a hoop and a spanking is on the cards. Keitel and Knott have been a major thorn in EF side for a number of years.

Isn’t it mind boggling how WP come into a new season flying under the radar and make everyone think they’re knackered?  Then come the season proper and they continue to take scalps when no one expects it.  
There’ll be no cruising through the last quarter on a big lead this time.  

Obviously Keitel will need to be closely managed, as will Knott.....can see the coach using someone like Marsh this weekend to man Keitel....Marsh is big enough, strong enough and fast enough to nullify Keitel...can't see youngsters in McGuire or Davidson getting the task just yet. With Dixon clunking a few marks and O'Reilly kicking a few goals, I can Marsh moving up back v WP.....as for Knott, does Davies come in perhaps....think Tucker may come in, but he struggled v Peel playing on a similar sort in Sturt...so not sure there....perhaps Davidson makes way as WP don't have an overly tall forward line....is Jupp injured though?

Jupp went off in the last Q v EP so he’s be in some sort of doubt. But if he was fit, surely he’d get Kietel?

But if he wasn’t then Marsh makes sense. Davidson has had a few cracks at it but never fully grabs it- if Tucker plays then he’d likely be the one to make way. And surely the match committee can finally send Jr back for a stint in the Reserves- he looks woefully out of form, even by his standards. Are we all missing something?

Considering Murphy got dropped for a low possession count and ZERO goal effort v Subi, the coaching team have set a precedent here so Jnr surely makes way after his effort v EP....Murphy went back and kicked 3  v EP which is what he needed and the coaching team wanted him to do.... wouldn't do Jnr any harm going back to the 2nds and  doing the same....but hey that is a tad too obvious....

Jr had 6 touches, 2 tackles and a goal against Subi.

Yep true, thanks for pointing that out KC...I think Bockman was  goalless v Subi then....yet he stayed in and rewarded his selection reprieve by kicking a couple v EP....surely Jnr must be in the radar for reserves duty?...especially after Murphy kicking 3 v EP last weekend....Davies will come in and possibly Tucker one would think.....

With all the stats you blokes are tossing around, it seems that this father son combo may not be in the best interests of the club??

The only stat/fact worth looking at right now is based on last seasons performance by the father/son combo with more of the same so far this season so: Should he play No, Will he play Yes.
