Last week I was thinking that we were in for a difficult game against Peel and looking at this week with a bit of dread, what would WP do given their form and wins.

But as they say a week is a long time and now given WP being a bit flogged by WCE and the EP boys playing well against Peel it now looks like we may have a real game on our hands. We beat them in an emotionally charged game last time and I am sure that they will be bouncing hard to rectify last week and the last game.

looking forward to a traditional derby and a good game with all the banter that goes with the Ferals and Munchers contests.

Grump,

Since 1999 no team has had a clean sweep of wins with one side winning at least one encounter. The first game usually goes to the underdog and the other to the team that sits higher on the ladder, thats what I am hoping continues :)

Form lines are often not as reliable as we would like but the Munchers would have to be better odds than us in the three grades. WP are game ahead in each of the three grades but that augurs well for good tight games.

As long as we kick down the line like we did for 95% of last week we should be ok. The ruck contest for AJ will show where he is at in his progression and his ability to control the aggression.

If Rudy turns it on he will be hard to control but then if the Dobbo plays well he could be the match winner lots of ifs and buts!

Hopefully we can pull this one out of the bag but WP winning will not surprise!

Geez it would have to be a few years since there's been a Perth derby with so much at stake - might be a cracker of a game

This will be a Perth Derby with high stakes, both clubs need the points to stay in touch with the top 5, EP did us by 10 points last time, we played catch up all day if I remember rightly, we are coming of a bad loss and the Royals of a great win, so they will have the momentum, I am not as confident as Leedy but lets hope for a good game..

lets hope this is reminiscent of the good old days of Perth Derby's when nothing was left on the paddock and no prisoners taken. WP should have the edge in class but EP have been punching above their weight most of the season so should be a ripper.

And Snr seagull it was a good hard tough derby decided by the one straight kick. Watched on TV and it was everything I hoped for both sets of supporters (except we won in the dream) but WP ened up being one goal better on the day.

Wins for the Ressies and colts saw us maintain our push for finals footy so all in all two outa three ain't a bad result!

I tuned in to the last quarter and it was a very entertaining game to watch. Well done to both teams. Barnard has done a great job to get East Perth to the level they are playing at so quickly after the end of the alignment.
