From what I saw today the EP boys are trying hard enough. To piss fart around with the footy across half back and to then give it away. Made us look much better than we are today. If they are following barney’s instructions god help you.

Its true STT we did make you look better than you are with the turnovers,but playing 14 kids with less than 12 games experience you can't put old heads on young shoulders,but Barney,s tactics worked OK on DERBY day with a more experienced line up against a side thats bent you blokes over 15 times in a row

You got it in one STT, the piss farting around is done by our senior recruit mids, just stating up getting the cheapies. No damage to their game. To me appear too scared or haven’t got the skills to hit the forwards. Poor Dobbo was the only viable option up forward, get it in quick, at least give the forwards half a chance.

Exactly Grump. I got on here to have a good read about the game and was looking forward to it because i saw a lot of comments. But all I got was garbage from STT. STT shut up about non game stuff. You are becoming an embarrassment to Perth supporters

Ok no excuses Perth were back to being a Fiat Arbarth but in a two mile race against a Trabant with only 3 pots running was always going to be an easy run!

20 players on the injured list with two pulling out on the morning due to illness not injury was not what we needed but again the D's played it way better than us in both the ones and the two's.

Once again getting 29 possessions doesn't make your game any good especially when the don't go anywhere forward, put the receiving player under pressure and frankly are cheap! I thought Shaq' did well, Ajang did well with our backline under so much pressure trying to control what was happening further up the ground. Perth got the ball and kicked it long and direct where we get the ball and go sideways, back, pass it to a three on one and then wonder why there is a turnover.

The ressies appear to have the same mechanic. If it was not for the outstanding stuff from Bull Reilly and young Sparks and Matt Hatch there would not have been much to write abt.

In the colts I thought we had a team effort with Sparks, Cox Boules and Cann showing the way against the Demons.

I know that there will be some who will pillory me for this next bit as much I was pleased with Barnards appointment and yes we have more games than I thought we would at this point in the season, yes the squand will take time get it together and yes 20 players out doesn't help and yes there probably more things but one of the fundamentals is a game plan and I have some concerns that what we play is going to cut it in the future. I know we beat WP but as I discussed with someone yesterday it was a Dockers moment, they always get up against the the weagles. I is not much point setting yourselves for two games a year the season is played over 22 games not just against WP.

Grump; good post --- all coaches play that game style a little bit, but i take your point on board. I think the coach will become an issue if people at the club believe the young squad is talented and they are not playing to their ability; other times, as you know, you can have you sides whom are no good, and the club will either recruit or promote the next batch of young players.

On the Demons, their main problem is their inability to play four quarters of football, something they have only done twice this year. Even against, Subi, they held us scorless for the first twelve minutes, but then fell away. If they play four quarters they will be a problem for other sides.

Kerr has 41 not 29 Grump, 14 marks, he must be performing as the coach desires as the defensive sweeper. Either way he is a poorly chosen scapegoat. On analysis of the stats we battled to even in most categories. I agree Grump we looked inefficient, but understandable with so many debutants and a battling forward line. For our Perth friends you have gone backwards since our first meeting but plenty of time to find form.

R19: correct on Perth -- they played properly in two games, the first game of the year against the Eagles, and as you said, the other time they have played four quarters was the previous game against the Royals.
