Terrible news about young Jones as the kid could certainly play. Hopefully a speedy recovery for him as his absence in the Colts was instantly noticed after he came off the ground.

Either way it is a lose-lose scenario for the legitimate East Perth supporters. 42, interesting to see that the main sponsor on the back of the EP eagles jumpers was channel Eagles and the West Australian. Was that the case before the alignment or is this in place so that both these dominant media organisation can push the alignment agenda? Will be interesting to see how balanced the coverage of wafl by both companies pans out.

Just one more for the bulging WAFC conspirisy file.

Well you know what? It will be a certainty that the 'match of the round' to be played at the WACA will be exclusively Freo one week and Eagles the next at best and most probably eagles most weeks.

Just off topic for a second and back to the WACA, how can they possibly play footy there now the sides have been brought in since the redevelopment? Surely it would be much smaller then even the SCG?

Football won't be going back to the WACA. it's just one of Townsend's bullshit stories. You're right it's too small for a start.

Hey anchor, thought you were smarter than that? Channel 9 mooted wafl game of day at WACA. I was referring to east perth eagles and peel dockers. But i think you knew that anyway eh?

Interesting enough but if you think back to the first alignment the name on the front and back was Bankwest, seems the exposure attracts bigger sponsors which in turn will demand more exposure, unfair yes but fact of life in the sports buiness yes also!

Small minded?? I think not, just accepting the fact that EP and PT are wafl teams by name only. only 7 wafl teams left doesnt matter how you carve it. The sooner you accept that the better. who pays the coaches at these sellouts?Even this year when the 'alignment' is supposedly not in yet. anyway we are all allowed to live in our own dillusion. at least i will have plenty of company. :P

Watching Mayne, Johnson or Muzungu play for Peel against Perth would drive me mad. But strangely I wouldn't mind if they were playing for the Mandurah Dockers wearing the Dockers get up etc.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!
