As I said it appears you haven't gotten over Swans losing to East Perth last month. Enjoy your win over South and take a chill pill.

Enjoy it now mate because as of round 1 next year it will mean bugger all.

some of us enjoy living in the present.i was dubious that we would be competitve with virtually no recruiting and several players leaving and relying on our reserves who are having a good year and have provided us with a few handy league players.we still have our work cut out to make the finals but we are now past the handful of games some of us thought we would win this year.cheer up sacko your mob might actually make the finals fo the first time since last century.as i said to your zany scoreboard attendents remember 1978.i think that went over the head of some perth supporters.obviously too young to know what i meant or maybe i am too old.

Dont need much recruiting when you get given the likes of Schofield, Lycett, Cripps & Morton...& that was only in todays game...

even playing field sharks had shepherd brennan and sutcliffe and last weeek perth had 4 afl listed players.if you saw schofield play last week and this week you will know why he will be playing with us next week.it won't be a favour to us but they are not going to play a player who is so out of form.remember when you throw mud it sticks to you.nearly every club at the moment are playing a couple of afl listed players and not all of them are from their local zones.our reserves are doing nicely withe lots of home product leading the way and with no major non zone recruits like the g7 we have given several of our reserves players a chance to see if they are up to standard and we have improved from the shambolic side that got murdered at the start of the year.funnilly the most eagles players we had in a side i think was 5 on anzac day and perth won.funny how when a team wins they don't complain but when they lose it was the eagles that won them the game.maybe 18 other players had something to do about it and a pretty good coach who i am sure even the swanny's would love to have back.

All involved that would be in no particular order- Nisbett, Worsfold, Bell, Narkle, Hickmott...

Wish Morton was playing for another team and the colts comp is always great to watch at this time of the year with a lot not playing because of the State 18's.

The only thing 1978 would mean to anyone here was that it was EP's last legitimate premiership!

i don't know how you can't at least acknowledge 2002.after all didn't you get kane munro richard taylor and chad morrison in the reshuffle of eagles players at the start of the year and i think it may have been ashley hansen's first year at the eagles and guess what he played at the swannies not east perth.you guys have selective memories.then again 2002 wasn't a memorable year for the swannies do you remember your only victory.it wasn't against us.

Chaddy,

I don't particularly like having a crack at you because you are a regular poster, but you must understand the anguish of others. The Ferals thread only lights up when you blokes win a few, it is very dormant in between. In regards to 2002, you benefitted from the freed up funds of the alignment from the previous 2 seasons, Symons, Wilson, Thompson and Turnbull just to name a few were payed big bucks from Eagles funds carried over, no other WAFL club had that clear advantage !

And just to make a clear point, don't go pulling the piss out of the Perth F.C because taking away the tainted treble, you blokes are 1 year to the betterment !!! Although you have frequented Finals footy more regularly.

With the Weagles and Dorkers having their way with EP and Peel from next season I wouldn't be suprised if they and the AuFL look to stuff up the colts comp next.
