A previous topic got me thinking about who has played most games without getting on the winners dias at a grand final. The late Reg Hampson at subi played 224 games without tasting the ultimate team success. Not sure if this is the most?.

There will be no point in going over $ubi's list over the past 20 years for anything over 20 games

It would be Reggie as the others above him have all won flags.

Derek Chadwick played over 250 games at East Perth without a flag I think.

Chadwick played 269 games, ooollllrrrrrry2, but Craig Wulff (286) pips him.

Rod Brown played a lot of games for SD and S without a flag too
In addition there would be a whole bunch of players at WP whom played lots of games without winning a flag.

Rod Brown 188 games between swans and subi all without a flag but looks like Craig Wulff is the "winner"
Chaddie was unlucky starting in 1959 and finishing in 1972 both premiership years for East Perth but not playing in those GF's whilst having plenty of runners up years in between!

Craig Edwards would have played over 200 comfortably with East Perth and South Fremantle for no flags, and a few GF losses.

Gary Wilson and Robbie Flower played a few games of footy for no premiership medal.

Haydn Bunton snr., played 200 games for Fit, Subi without playing in a final
