DD,

Get back in your box mate, you have near on no chance of beating the Ferals, Perth are Gonsky my friend. I mentioned on here when Hawaii 5-Yeo piped up about having "2 very winnable games", clubs use that as an added incentive and you haven't fired a shot since :)

Sorry Grump...I should have told DD to have a delicious sausage sizzle over on your side as entree to support the colts followed by a continental roll on our side as afternoon tea....mea culpa. B)

It's a game of footy ffs. what would you like me to do?...jump off a tall building because we win a game? self flagellate which it appears you're very adept at doing? I've got every right to analyse the good, bad and indifferent aspects of my club and its performances on this, a Subi thread....if you don't like it then don't read it.

No problem with subi, as you say not their fault. My problem is with you and your mates pretending that your club is not killing comp and ‘analysing’ games as if what is happening is normal.

I'll stick up for BC here. I hate Subi due to their dominance as much as anyone else but BC is one of the most balanced and decent individuals on this site and his comments are always balanced and fair and always pays respect to those who deserve it. We don't always see eye to eye and nor should we but BC shouldn't be copping any criticism for supporting and sticking up for his club. Keep up the good work BC.

Thanks for the kind words DD. I've said on here before that I too would like a more even comp where the cycle of things means that all clubs will go up and down over time but I'm also cognisant that there's sfa I can do about it as that sort of equalisation is up to the regulator....ie the WAFC. So I'll continue to support my club as does every other poster on here support theirs. If StT takes issue with that, then stiff shit.

Totally agree DD, pretty much all the Subiaco supporters on this site are fair minded and give credit where it is due. They have a right to analyse and comment on their team as much as we all have . I have said on many occasions that the responsibility for the lop sided state of the competition rests solely with the WAFC which appears to have been asleep at the wheel for the last decade.

STT, you are very passionate about this situation so why dont you put your energy into attacking the organisation that runs the show ... or pretends to run the show, the WAFC. Subi have done what all other clubs would have done in the same situation and made the most of it and done it very very efficiently. Every other club would have gleefully taken on the obvious financial windfall that Subi have had due to us owning the various leases over Subi oval, having our own premises there and our original members seating, if you say anything different then you would be totally disingenuous. I'm old enough to remember not having social rooms or a liquor licence and looking enviously at all other clubs who had those benefits for members, but thats in the past as are the financial benefits that flowed from our traditional home ground as shown by big trading losses in the last 2 years, yes we have been prudent and built up a substantial war chest as any other club would have, like EP have done via the alignment to set up their futures.
So give your relentless Subiaco bashing a rest and focus on the WAFC, it's their continuing lack of interest in the competition and lack of any meaningful efforts to equalise the comp that you should concentrate on.

STT maybe you could set out what steps you would take to equalise the comp. Give it some serious thought and then send your ideas to the WAFC. They will ignore it but I'm sure you will feel better after it's done.

You see you imagine I am some crank just going bananas but I’m not. I gave a full written plan to wafl for equalisation many years ago. They went with one idea for about 2 years and I thought working ok but they ended up dropping it because ef and sf wanted 3 derbies a year and an ANZAC day derby to be included. And I could put up with subi being the benchmark until your coach is a kid who was ok but no great shakes with our kids but now a world beater. It’s just gotten too silly.

SS, Mike, DD and others...I for one am not going to waste any more energy on this clown. Subi is an easy target and fair enough too but what he fails to realise, their dominance is the effect and not the cause. Maybe OFA should start a discrete WAFC thread on here so posters like StT, Sean42 and others can vent their spleen without taking pot shots at clubs who are only doing the best they can under current rules set down by the WAFC. Anyway. more important things are happening such as a game against our traditional arch rivals. 1995 wasn't that long ago and I still haven't forgotten. ;-)
