No outs for Subi but interesting to see Ballantyne and Banfield named for Freo and Halligan in for Subi. Freo could also see Scott Jones, Griffen Logue, Cam McCarthy and Mitch Crowden come back in all who travelled to Melbourne as emergencies. On paper, it looks like a very strong FART side. Bloody Sunday game...they wouldn't be available for a normal Saturday fixture. In saying that...if it was a Saturday game Freo probably would have only taken 1 travelling emergency so swings and roundabouts I guess. Hopefully Hoskins will go to Harley Bennell and shut him down, Kennedy to Ballantyne and do likewise and McCarthy playing is a bonus to us. I can't pick the winner but if pressed I'd say Peel by a small margin given the game's being played at Centrelink.

Off topic but do you guys rate Christian Martin?

Yes StT...I certainly do. He's still very young and developing but with his height and skill I think he'll be a very good key forward. He's kicked goals almost every week and imo is a real prospect. Why do you ask mate?

He has gone to Perth.

Bugger...hopefully he'll get a few opportunities at Perth as he was about third in line to force his way into the league side as a key forward at Subi.

I thought subi would have 40 listed him if any good? Didn’t they used to not 40 list their top 10 to 15 players on basis they were loyal and then 40 list down to player 50 or 55 ?

So some of the luminaries on here have said before StT particularly those in black and white...but I'm not so sure myself.

Correct STT but it had more to do with how much they were getting paid there and no club being able to even come close to matching hence why it was safe to leave them off the protected 40 list not so much loyalty

I reckon we'll get done today if Jones, Logue, McCarthy and Crowden all come into Freo's lineup...they look very strong on paper and we're still not firing at the same level as last year....FART by 4 goals.
