I am pretty sure a player can back up playing Reserves then League if there has been a legitimate injury take place in the warm up or on the way to the ground etc otherwise a team would then have to play short.
And as we all know from the actions with WP (paying their players) & soon to be EP (given concessions for next season) the WAFC dont like a compromised WAFL competition (unless of course you are the Perth, SD or EF Football Clubs) as it would seem from the WAFC point of view they can go to buggery!

I think you're right BH as I recall players being withdrawn from ressies after a quarter or so where a league player hasn't come up but I don't remember anyone playing 2 full games in recent times.

Maybe Subiaco could have two players withdraw before the league game, play with only 16 and still have 4 to keep up rotations. May make it such a sporting spectacle that they only win by 50 points.
