Swan 42: I hear you, particularly on the tradition and the percentage questions. All fairness in aussie rules in regards such things, as you know Swan 42, went by the way side once the Victorians allowed one game to be played under a roof and another in the piddlling rain at the same time.

...And the bad news continues reading the reported attendance of only 750 !!!
Really hoping that is a mis-print.
Perhaps someone forgot to add a digit before the 7 or after the 0?

Swan 42: please accept my apologies -- everything I wrote above, as you know, was bassed on the supposition that we played the top sides three times something which is simply untrue. As 'Leedy' pointed out on another thread -- thank you sir --- we only play South twice.

Taking all that together, we can definitely say, Swan 42, that SD has been badly treated by the fixtures.

yeah Ark but perhaps the WAFL knows SDFC pull in the most punters week in week out in the WAFL and have done so for years.... perhaps the WAFL was hoping by SD playing Subi 3 times a year, it may boost their overall annual crowd figures......unlike you 42 to adopt an individual club first mentality mate...shouldn't the betterment of the whole WAFL comp come first?

Taylor is not that far away from his pledge, Swan 42, as your beloved black and whites did finish fourth in 2017.

AR I would not have thought that you were a supporter of D Trump "alternate fact regime": 4th is not in the same third as 1st.

From the same article:

WAFC chief executive Gavin Taylor said that the shorter season of 18 games across 21 rounds had allowed for a more even fixture that would still retain important historical clashes.

“By reducing the length of the season by two rounds, we have been able to achieve a more even fixture whilst still ensuring we have traditional feature games such as the Fremantle derby on WA Day,” he said.

AR thanks. It is not only Swans that is impacted by this. Percentages will probably determine who finishes 5th.

freezin your post is what one can only expect from you. I am sorry you weren't able to understand what should have clearly been evident to you that other clubs are impacted by Gavin Taylor's lies and/or incompetence.

42 you have donned Grassy's conspiracy jumper mate and your post is what we have come to expect from you of late sadly....

don't make a mountain out of a molehill....yeah SD have been unlucky to play Subi 6 times in the past 2 years....it will no doubt even out over the next 2 years......anyway Taylor did say "traditional/historical" rivals.....Perhaps he has seen the traditional / historical rivalry here between the likes of BC, the gulls and you SD fans here on Oz Footy....LOL

You really worry and whinge about some of the most innate things....at least your club has a great ground, strong following, won a flag this century and has a good player culture within the club.....can't say my club EF has any of that right now.... count yourself lucky I say....if it's not the umps, its Taylor lying, Subi's dollars and now the fixturing...it is what it is....if SD were good enough they would of won other games to get themselves higher up the ladder....18 games are played from memory not 3.....

I think Ark is being a bit soft on you by rescinding and apologising to you and for SD apparent miscarriage of justice.....to be the best don't you you want play and beat the best....would like to think EF could get to that level...

As for impacting other clubs in the final 5 race....it can if your team rolls over and let's it.....didn't see Cl rollover when they played Subi with this defeatist attitude of yours the other day...nothing stopping SD stepping up minimizing the % damage like Cl did a few weeks back.....pretty sure it was drier when Cl played Subi too compared to yesterday....

What has LUCK got to do with Gavin Taylor signing off on fixtures that patently did not follow the criteria he set when reducing the number of games from 20 to 18? By the way it was a rhetorical question; the answer is that luck had nothing to do with it.
