Saturday 2.10pm at Fremantle Oval

Jeez, we have to win this one or our season is getting close to done already.

Hopefully a few more of our players can find form.

Hard to know who might come in to the side. Surely Dom Sheed now that the AIS tour is finished.

Very strong reserves side named with Eddie Hill, Antoni Grover, James Garcia, Chris Bottecchia and Andrew McDougall all listed as possible starters for the first time this season.

Subi website has Grover & McDougal as definite starters in the ressies, lets hope McDougal can quickly find some form so he can either ruck or be a forward target in the Sinclair mould, could be a bit of rain around so we will need to deal with that better than last week. Both teams struggling but both desperate, could be a close but ugly game.

Ben not too bad a line up if they can find some form, apart from Herring. Surely if he fails again they cant keep persisting with him. Would like to see the 4 interchange as Martin, Sheed, Forrest & either Phillips or Moore. I think Clanger is better suited to CHF where he has more room to run. Stevo in the ruck??I know Souths are light on for rucks so that spring healed African bloke will likely do most of it, maybe thinking a smaller more mobile ruckman will counter him. Big Seva could prove vital against their undermanned ruck, thought he did ok against the Sharks?

What happened to Randall ??? I noticed he only had one tackle in the 1st and that's it ??? I couldn't make it to the game - I must admit on what I've seen this hear I didn't give us a chance - Great win - much needed !!!
How did we turn it around as we've been shocking the last couple of weeks ???

Well done to the colts on their win - I see we had a few players back - Good win to knock off Souths who will be up there. We've been dissapointing the last couple of games although I knew we had a few injuries.

No joy in the magoos - I see Grover didn't play and McDougall had a couple of touches.

Yeah, very bad broken leg for Ben Randall. Terrible injury from those who described it to me. Feel for the bloke. My best wishes go out to him for a speedy recovery. Hopefully he can play footy again.

Yeah, the side played a lot better and in truth South aren't anywhere near the same side as EF or CL, which makes life a bit easier. But we had to win and we did which is the main thing. The younger players really stood up as a group for the first time. Seva, Daniels, Buddy, Sheed, Moore, DeLuca were all influential.

Senior Seagull got it right highlighting Seva Martin before the match. He has improved out of sight since this time last year. I guess these big blokes really do just take a bit more time to mature. And happily Madut played the kind of game in the ressies that we saw in colts last year. Plus McDougall had a run in the forward line, so suddenly our big man stocks are looking quite good. Overall though, the ressies had few good contributors apart from Waters who was outstanding, Madut, Thompson and Luke Norriss, who played what I think is he best ressies game since coming up from colts. Charlie Le Fanu did some good things and James Garcia worked his way into the game.

Yeah colts were tremendous. South have a good squad and you could see that from the talent and the names they had in their side but Subi played really well. Cody Grace was the key. I wouldn't say he was my best player exactly but it was he that set the standard early on. I thought ok, Gracey's fired up, we're going to have a good day - because when he's on his game he is an outstanding player. Vermeersch of course had a ripper with six goals. Hats off to Army for playing big Bestry key defence. He really stood up and looks a natural CHB. Also Antoine Garlett. Not a prolific ball winner but everything he did hurt the opposition. Wilkinson, Walters, D Jackson, Vawser and DeLuca also very good.

Ben, Seva and Clanger dominated the hitouts and gave our mids good service, even so Miller still carved us up and should have had a run with. 41 points a good result but should have been 60 given our shocking goalfront inaccuracy early. Really impressed with Daniels, Hampson and Sheed,Plus JKT is getting better and better, adds some polish to the mids. More of a team effort this week, Herring even chipped in with 4 majors but 2 late when it was all over, he will get some confidence from that. He's a big unit who takes a good mark and kicks straight, just needs to get more involved plus some decent delivery from the mids will help.

Very sad day for Randy, will leave a gapping hole in the defence, certainly not back this year and at 29 you would think he will give plenty of thought to whether it's worth coming back. Nasty tib/fib fractures take time. I did think Leishman did well going back to cover for Randy.

Good win but we need to put it in perspective, Souths are having a horror run at the moment. Bye this week which is not ideal as you want to keep some momentum, then a strong Peel side who have just knocked over Swans then Perth followed by Swans then Claremont again, it doesn't get any easier. If we play our best we are in with a chance against Swans Peel & Perth but not Claremont.
