well...here we go again taking on a team chock full of professional athletes although this time around they'll be sans the likes of Silvani, Yarran, De Boer, Mzungu, Blakely, Hannath, Apeness, Zac Clarke, Clancy Pearce, Griffin probably Balic and Collins plus a few others. We'll be missing Shepherd, Broughton, Leishman, Rhys Waters and so on. Going on current form we should win and hope Cockie gets a call up as well just to add some presence around the stoppages. We lost it in the first qtr of the GF when they kicked 4.6 to our 1.0 and it was even after that so a fast start will be really important. It would be nice to get some revenge but don't think that'll be on Schowey's mind. Subi by 15 points.

These are the ins and outs for Freo so you'd expect those 6 will all play for Peelmantle, 5 of those 6 are seasoned AFL players so no easy task for us. You'd expect they will all be busting a gut to prove the Freo coaching staff wrong. One thing I've noticed is that when Freo players go back to Peel they put in an effort, not like the Eagles boys who mostly have a sook and play like they are scared of getting injured.

Stating to get some of our better players back in, Madut and Hancock, if they do line up will add a lot. Madut the extra tall to help combat the big Freo boys, Griffin in particular who is a monster and does kick goals when going forward. If he does spend time up forward I'd send Clang to him as our backs are not super tall.

Cockie at the contested ball will be a huge, creating more space and distributing the ball to the playmakers in Kitchen, Horse & Hoskins. Will be interesting to see who Dawson goes to, they may send him to Ryan just to blanket him as that's Dawsons only game plan, he creates very little.

Our forward line as named has plenty going for it and while quite tall is very mobile so hopefully they can gain an advantage. The Freo backs will scrag and hold like in the GF, hopefully the umpires will not be under the same "influence" as was the case in the GF and we actually get more than 1 free after qtr time.

Really tough ask against this particularly experienced Freo team, but hopefully home ground advantage will swing it our way, unless they pull another cheating scam and get the game moved to their home ground at Subi!!

Any news on how long young Chris Bryan will be out? I rate him as our best young talent, expect him to be used in the mids in the next season or two as he builds his endurance, cool customer with elite skills.

Kennedy is another big loss, may be back very late in the season but that's the 2nd time his shoulders gorn. besides the Fridge, hard to think of a harder nut than Kennedy at the club.
