Greg Broughton took two fantastic marks yesterday,that was just the entree.Enter Liam Ryan,what a screamer of a mark,the best I have witnessed at any level for a long long time.Then he calmly goes back from 50 metres and slots it through to put Subi in front,no pressure!Hopefully this mark will appear on social media as it should be shared for all to see.Amazing how East Freo did not have this bloke on their top 42 list and how only Subi and East Perth were aware of this situation and his talent and chased his signature.

One of the reasons I love WAFL is going to see screamers like that yesterday. Because of the way the game is played now you don't see that many at the AFL level. There was as many in that game yesterday than you seem to get in a whole season at the higher level. Hope there is some coverage of that mark by Liam Ryan as you couldn't get better advertising than that !!!

Wasn't there so hope the vision pops up somewhere. If Ryan has a good finals series, he'll surely get some solid interest from the AFL scouts. He'll need some more meat on his frame but at 183cm he's the right height for a small/mid sized forward.

There will already be some interest in Liam Ryan, but a good finals series would be the icing on the cake. May need to beef up a bit but has plenty of ability and also has that X factor that will make him worth a punt.

Ryan definitely has been more than a one game wonder...kudos to Subi and Ryan for making the most of the opportunity.....disappointed that EF turned the kid down now.....definitely could of used him this year

The good thing with Ryan and what the scouts really rate is that he's been pretty consistent, 14 games and averaging around 2 1/2 goals a game, that makes him a 50 goal a season small forward, only Shep and Saunders ahead of that I think. Don't expect we'll have him next season but we have guys like Halligan, Waters, Mckenzie, Garcia that can come in and do a good job in that role. Also expect Shep to go to another level with a full pre-season under his belt.
