this week doesn't count for much although it would be good going into finals with some momentum and also gives the likes of Dela a chance for a hit out. He should also be available for the ressies elimination final two weeks later. I'm not sure how far Halligan, Madut and co are from coming back but you wouldn't think they'd be in the mix for a league spot this year...maybe adding some extra grunt in the two's is the best we can hope for with those guys.

Wouldn't risk those guys, too important for next year, particularly Madut.
Would Dela qualify for ressies finals?

Agree, we need to put in a really solid committed effort as it's the last game for 3 weeks and if most pundits are right one of just 2 games between now and the grand final, but before that can happen we'll need a massive effort in the 2nd semi to get over either Sowfs or Joondy.

I'm not sure about Dela SS...as Subi's league team is also in the finals I'd think he wouldn't have to play a certain number of games to qualify...although I could be wrong.

Horsley is out, he is in for a big rest. No delahunty. I hope Subi hit these blokes hard and not half arsed. They should as plenty of guys putting their hand up for a spot in the finals.

I noticed Horse came off during last weeks game with what appeared to be a leg or similar but played on...hopefully it's just precautionary. Rhys Waters back in which is good news as he gives us some hard working grunt in the front half.

I couldn't make the game but sounds like a massive last qtr by the boys to go with a massive choke by Peelmantle. How could a team loaded with full time pro's possibly run out of legs. More a case of running out of heart I think.

Listened to some of the 107.3fm broadcast which was pretty good, hope there were some cameras there to catch what they described as the mark of the century by Liam Ryan .... to go with the 3 or 4 other MOC efforts since he started mid season. he and Shep bagged 4 each, commentary team said that Clanger and Cockie dominated the last qtr. Good effort considering our 2 best mids in Horse & Phez were rested along with no Dela. Whould like to hear from anyone who ventured down to Peels dungheap.

Can anyone advise if Dela can play in the ressies elim final in two weeks? would be an ideal warm up for him before the 2nd semi.

Yes I went down SS. The boys were a bit lazy for the first 3 quarters but switched on in the last. All round good team effort but a special mention to Clanger who had a heavy head knock just before 3/4 time but obviously passed a concussion test and had a huge last qtr along with the Cock who was fantastic. Shep was well held but broke free in the third after being scragged and man handled which is a weekly occurrence. Fez was hobbling noticeably when he went onto the ground at the breaks so think he'll need every bit of 2 weeks off to get right. Backs and mids were good...Deluca was a heavy tag on Kitch and Schofield rotated players onto DeBoer who killed us at the stoppages. The one for me who must be under pressure to hold his pace is Stevo...hasn't really fired a shot since coming back from injury. I noticed Bogensperger had it 30 plus times in the ressies and how this guy gets overlooked each week is a mystery given Horse and Fez were out this week. I might start a petition to get him promoted otherwise other clubs would have to be looking closely at him...anyway..a good win and now 2 weeks off. I'm not sure that's a good thing but I guess it means whomever we meet in the qualifying final which looks like being Souths btw would have had 2 tough weeks of footy while we have our feet up. I'm not sure about Dela playing ressies but think if your ones are in the finals then they can play whomever they like in the two's.

Was a depressing day for 7 quarters. Ressies outclassed by a team that has won one game. Not many guys pushing up to the league. My opinion early in the league game, 5 first choice players not in the league that may be available, and 7 guys not cemented their spots yet. A couple of them may have after the last quarter.
Crap first quarter, looked uninterested. Late in the second put a bit of footy together. Got within 14 early in the third thanks to Big Shep coming alive in an inspirational 5 minute burst, but then drifted off. Peels obrien and bell playing well. The others all afl players. Morabito, deboer, Pearce, mzungu, deluca dominating the stats. Left me thinking the finals could be a whitewash if the dockers players qualified are all available. Turnaround in the last was a sight to behold. Subi wanted it and lifted, peel went missing. Felt terrible for the peel young fella kicked 45 metres the wrong way into our 50 and Ryan converted. Only saw one peel teammate console him. Ryan took a deadset screamer standing on (bootsma?)s shoulders and kicked from 55 to hit the front. Cockie tough as hell, Ryan, Clanger, Lockyer, Moore, Kitchin, Bryan, Broughton and Feathers all played their guts out. No less those not mentioned. Great to watch that last quarter

Good summaries by BC and Singha. We looked like we were well off the pace for the first three quarters and I was surprised during the game that we were as close as we were. When Peel kicked out to 26 points in front at the last change I thought they had done enough, but then we switched on and started to get some clearances and probably the turning point was when the Peel players kicked it into our forward line and we scored. Peel dropped their heads after that and never threatened. Great effort in that last qpr by all our boys and let's that that into the finals series!

Nice one Subi. Did enough for that important win yesterday. And suffered no injuries as far as I can see. Yesterday they had the second best stats for the day and their best stats for the past 5 weeks. Not sure of the wisdom of a Bye directly before the Finals begin. Subiaco won't be participating in the first week of Finals either. That will mean a two week lay up. The Lions deserve to finish on top of the league standings.
