Joondy are gradually getting their key injured players back, not a full list as yet but will be stronger than the team who challenged us up on their paddock. The biggest out for them is Keunen who apart from the GF has dominated us with his 1st class ruckwork and also good around the ground. Still plenty of class up at Joondy and they always dig in against us.

We have been smashed each week in the taps but Dela & Clang have been dominant around the ground. If Big Seva is playing they will get first use of the footy so as usual our mids will be roving to him.

Starting to get a better spread of goal kickers, young Ryan is getting more confident each game, Mckenzie is adds pace and good defensive pressure and Shep should be chock full of confidence after bagging 6 last week on a quality defender. It's all about delivery and after 1/4 time last week that delivery improved significantly. mids are going well but Kitch has hqd a couple of quiet ones as he is getting the best hard tagger each week but Cockie, Robbo, Horse, Phez, Hoskins, Kennedy etc have been a solid unit.

Backs have been lead well by Heal & Jackson in the absence of Lockyer. Any news on when he's back?

The untimely loss of Madut to injury now gives one of the younger talls the opportunity to step up, Dela and Clang have been working their guts out each week and would benefit from some support so hopefully bestry or one of the other young talls can step up soon cause if one of those boys break down we could be in some strife.

talking of talls, for this game it may not be an issue as the forecast is for rain and storms so it could be a down and dirty ground level grind which will suit our bigger stronger mids, Cockie will already have a smile on his face given that forecast.

Thanks Mudlark, great that Heal has been able to fill the key defensive role so well in his absence and Dec Jackson is getting better and better with each game.

I understand Dec originally from Collie but did he come up through our colts and ressies or straight to ressies?

Dec played 2 years of colts for subi. He even captained the colts in his 2nd year.

Just Fimano & Twomey added to the squad that beat Cl last week. Waters, Halligan and Lockyer still some time away.

Well done to the 9 players in the initial state squad, I picked 8 of them but great for Dec Jackson to also get into the squad after several good performances, I guess he's there given the States regular FB Ames is still coming back from injury and yet to get back to his normal top form, if fit he would have been a certainty.

Joondy's 6 reps appear safe looking at the coaching panel

Startting to come back to the field a little, as a few on here have predictted; our midfield is pretty good, our back line and forward line, however, are solid at best. Congratulations to WP.

Arn't you an East Perth supporter?
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!
